I used to Ebay a TON about 5yrs ago. Been very lucky, never had a bad deal as buyer or sell. Until now..
Sold my old Roadbike off (Yes to allow more ripstop related toys) Auction closed for my reserve on Tues. I emailed the buyer right on auctuon close
let him know I was taking the bike to be professionally packaged and hoped the box size would drop a bit and save him some $$ as freight was pretty
spendy.. Got to shop Wed, saw my estimate was spot on so sent the buyer a Ebay invoice Wed evening. I have heard exaclty ZIP from this buyer at this
point?
My terms said payment in 24hrs. Honestly I am not that much of a harda55 or going to ding someone for not paying instantly, that is more of a tactic
to not have THIS situation. But at least he could respond to ONE of my emails or Ebay messages? 4days since auction end and 3 days since invoice
sent and NOT A PEEP from the buyer? He has 100% feedback, but only 20 total.
I want this bike gone and paid for any thoughts or ideas fro those that may have more recent experience? Unfortunately he was the only bidder, but I
had 20+ whatching the auction. Do I submit ebat resolution and relist? Do I wait, if so how long?Kober - 19-11-2011 at 11:57 PM
I sell on ebay for a long time ....... 7 day payment rule apply to most transactions .... so wait .... because paypal transfer from bank account
take few days ..... plus ... like me ... some buyers bid on auction early and go for a trip or something.... If you don't here from guy after 7
days open unpaid case with ebay and realist....... It happen to me only few times after selling over 1000 items .....lamrith - 20-11-2011 at 07:21 AM
I was sort of thinking the same thing. He did bid on it the 2nd day it was listed... I guess the "responsible" part of me would say if you are going
to do that, send an email right before you leave so the seller knows..? Or at least work out a way to, or have someone else check your email while
you are gone.
Thanks Kob!PHREERIDER - 20-11-2011 at 01:05 PM
7 days then move on.lamrith - 20-11-2011 at 01:17 PM
Hoping ebay does not ding me for all the fees etc is part of my concern, since the auction "sold"indigo_wolf - 20-11-2011 at 01:30 PM

You can contact eBay to confirm or check the Seller's Help listings, but I believe if you have to relist or the deal falls through, you will be refund
any fees you get dinged with. In essence, you would only be temporarily dinged.

I've been on the opposite side of the issue: I always pay immediately after winning the bid but often have to wait days for any response from the
seller, and then to make things worse, never get a positive rating for all my effort. I've done about 100 ebay transactions but have only gotten 18
ratings (all positive fortunately). Frustrating.
I'm with you though, it's frustrating to put out all that extra effort to give someone good service only to get no replies at all. I guess you have
to wait the 7 days, but that kind of sucks. Probably why the only place I've sold anything recently is here. lamrith - 20-11-2011 at 02:47 PM
Ebay is allowing me to start the resolution process as of lastnight, but I am trying ot be patient. I myself have done many hundreds of transactions
but maybe 2/3 of them I was given feedback..
Thanks for all the input folks!! keeping my fingers crossed. I just sent him one last message letting him know I am waiting till Tues but then will
have to relist and initiate resolution system. All he has to do is give me some sort of response so I know whats going on.lamrith - 22-11-2011 at 08:21 PM
Figured I would update you.. I waited the 7 days tried a few more times to contact the buyer. Not a peep..
Started teh dispute process tonight I have to wait ANOTHER 4 DAYS! GAAAHH! Wish ebay information would have said that when I looked the end of last
week. I would have done it then. I want this unit gone, getting to point now with holidays that I will probably have to sit on it till after
