Zow...looking at the UK site for the Flexifoil jackets, hoodies, etc...I see some pretty reasonable prices ($30-$50)...but then shipping to the US can
start around $40-50 just for a single item!
Flexi USA has all those prices built in to the base price - before shipping.
Any other resources out there (even UK eBay fold often won't ship)g00fba11 - 23-11-2011 at 09:25 AM

Flexifoil 'Shell' Jacket ($79.99) - 320GSM soft shell with tough outer membrane, Waterproof (2000mm) and breathable
(2000MVP)
Honestly, those prices aren't completely out of line with.... say their North Face counter parts.
The only reason that there is a bit of a sting is that currently Flexifoil UK is having a Winter Blowout sale with:
Raptor Jacket 56% off - £35.00 (54.32 USD) / Original Price: £79.55 (123.403 USD)
Shell Jacket 68% off = £19 ($29.48 USD) / Original Price: £59.38 (92.1465 USD)
Typically the US flyers have never been able to take advantage of Flexifoil Seasonal sales and it's never cascaded down through the US distribution
channel.
Actually given the normal UK prices before the sale, the Flexifoil USA prices are kind of a bargin with the free shipping.
I have two of the brown Flexifoil hoodies that I snagged before the price hikes a year or two back. The price were a bit stiff for hoodies, but not
out of line for what other kite manufacturers charge for theirs. Heavier weight that hoodies from the local department store, nice finish, very, very
understated embroidery, and nice thumb holes.
I wish I knew that you were in the market for Flexifoil clothing. When they released the latest new color scheme (Casino) a couple of months back, if
you bought one of the 2 line trainer kites, you got a free Shell Jacket and the shipping was very reasonable. Could have just turned around and sold
the kite to recoup most of your expenditure.
ATB,
Sam
P.S. < Mini Rant > There are some Kite Manufactuer branded items that are totally over the top on pricing ($26 for a T-Shirt?). Understand the
need to some profit margin, but I wish they would recognize the fact that they are essentially getting free walking billboards.

As far as shipping... blame it on the economy and gas prices. I choked on 8.50 shipping for a $1.49 item that fit in the palm of your hand and
probably weighed in at a couple of ounces. Luckily there was a retail location when I was in DC and I just order the product and specified
store-pickup. They would have even brought it out to the car, if I called 15 minutes ahead (that kind of threw me).lad - 23-11-2011 at 10:00 AM
Yep...I lusted for that B/R Shell Jacket
It'd be better to find some UK connections to ship, or bring stuff back here with them.
I remember hearing how UK tourists came here to do their iPod and other electronic holiday shopping because of the tax and currency differences a few
years ago.indigo_wolf - 23-11-2011 at 10:08 AM
