flexifoil skis or blades

BEC - 29-11-2011 at 03:00 PM

Looking to purchase or have someone fabricate a set of skis or blades for my flexifoil buggy. Saw some cool ones at the WWBB but dont know who made/donated?

Another option would be drawings of a proven design to have a local fabricator do them for me or give it a shot myself...

THANKS!

Libre Kite buggy blades picture!

Here is a pretty good picture of a set put on a Libre!

This is where Indigo usually chimes in and sends several really nice links to what you need!

SAM WHERE ARE YOU????
I know he will chime in!

Those blades are like $800 a set. There are cheaper options.

These look like the ticket. Just need to fab some mounts....

I have an ice buggy incoming. It has the USI skis (with the carbide runners) and custom fabricated mounts. I will try to get some photos of the mounts if interested.

I built two sets of yet untested blades for my funky buggys. About $200 total , 1" HDPE (high density poly ethylene) , 3/16 x 1.5"stainless steel blades. Pretty easy build , when I know that they will hold up to some abuse I'll post pics. Claude from Canada had some of similar design , maybe someone can entice him to post pics.

Something like these ice blades maybe?

There's a guy in Germany manufacturing that kind of ice blades.

I got those blades at WBB raffle. They are in my back seat waiting to ice so I can try them ( they won't let me on the ice in Hartford skating park)!!
As I compare them to other blades I see they are very short. I am thinking of trying them as they are and maybe using them as a pattern to make longer blades. I think they may be to short for the rough ice we get around here.
