Harness Trade?

ChrisH - 30-11-2011 at 01:24 AM

I have a 2008 Dakine Fusion seat harness that I don't use now that I'm into buggying. I need a decent first buggy harness and I'm wondering if anybody has one to trade? It's a longshot but I thought I would ask anyway. If nobody has a buggy harness to trade this will end up being given to somebody here on the forum that is in need.

Thanks,
Chris

Why waste money on a new one, does it still fit you, does it have a spreader bar or is it one with a D

Size?

Are there different harnesses made for buggying? I've been using my kiteboard harness (when I'm not using handles).

They will tell you: "Whatever suits you best" or "Whatever you feel comfortable with"

Any harness that doesn't rise up your chest and lets you fit in your buggy seat comfortably is a good buggy harness.

Its a large. I have tried buggying with this harness and its way uncomfortable. It doesn't allow me to sit all the way down in the seat because of the high back support. It does have a standard spreader bar. Its great for static or atb riding.

I have an ozone base harness. You can see it here:

I also have a Fusion seat harness and I find that if you don't put the leg straps in and just use it like a waist harness it's a lot more comfortable in a buggy. Might want to give that a shot before you go trading away a great harness.

I just went and looked at it and its an XL. Midgaar, thanks for the advice....I will definitely give that a try!

I also have a fusion harness and while I don't buggy there are guys who I ride with who do buggy with seat harnesses.

I once played with my fusion and turned it upside down and put it on over my head using the leg straps as shoulder straps to allow the harness to sit more like a waist harness then a seat harness. The spreader bar also needed to be flipped. I did this to see if I could use the harness on my kids knowing it was too big for their seat but hoping I could keep it around their waist. I never kited this way (nor did my kids) but I seem to recall thinking it would work but its been a long time so I can't speak to the specifics of how it looked / worked / felt.

Just another option for you to consider.

I think Midgaar's suggestion is going to work for me, at least until i can afford the PL Divine harness. Thanks for the help everybody!
