I saw a video of a guy doing 360 board slide or something like that
i think he was actually on just the wheels on one side of the board it was really cool
does anyone know how to do theseerratic winds - 2-12-2011 at 09:34 AM
I don't quite know what you mean, can you link the video?shortlineflyer - 2-12-2011 at 10:15 AM
i cant find the video
it was on the forum but i dont know where
it was like he was carving in a circleB-Roc - 2-12-2011 at 10:18 AM
I know the video - its bookmarked on my home pc but vimeo and youtube are blocked at work. It is in the first 12 seconds of one of the Ducth /
Netherlands videos. Its a blonde kid in a blue hoodie, I believe.
Very cool move.
I think he also does it in one of the two videos posted here but I don't think this is the video you are referring too, though I can't say for sure as
I can't see them now.
If no one comes to the rescue I will post it tonight when I get home.shortlineflyer - 2-12-2011 at 10:22 AM
the one i know of he does it at the beachB-Roc - 2-12-2011 at 10:25 AM
So does the one I'm thinking of. I've seen CTB do it too so you are either thinking of his recent vid (he does a quick one) or the one of the Dutch
rider - which is VERY cool.shortlineflyer - 2-12-2011 at 10:35 AM
probably the dutch rider
i want to learn to do that so badbobalooie57 - 2-12-2011 at 10:36 AM
Yeah, CTB does several 2 wheel slides down low from about 1:55 - 2:10 in his "Act Like You Know" video.PHREERIDER - 2-12-2011 at 10:41 AM
like a sliding 360 on the ground , alot o butt dragging in any case. really just pushing through without spending the kite but with decent forward
momentum, still have to LOOK to make it around.
a ground sling-a-round 360... powerslide then push around...in my experience the result of mis fire on the send but you still go around. kite is
typically high and good forward speed makes it happen, after you slide out and half around really gotta bring the knees in hard to get back up and

I think Dan Smith does some of what you are talking about in his videos. If not then enjoy anyway.

The move I was thinking of is at 0:24
You describe something like what can be seen at 0:43
Bladerunner - 2-12-2011 at 05:46 PM
Not sure i have seen that Dan Smith before. That guy can lay them down ! :cool2:
If that move at:36 isn't what you are meaning it IS the move I am very impressed with. I love how it looks like an epic fail until you think about it
and see it was meant to be ! My kind of move !carltb - 3-12-2011 at 05:32 PM
the move it pretty easy really if you can do a back loop.
travel along as normal with plenty of power, as you bring your kite "towards" 12 oclock, fall backward against the directon of travel. now you should
be lead on your back being dragged backwards. as the kite hits 12 oclock, pull your bar in and redirect. this will lift you back off the ground and
also give you the momentum to complete the rotation. as i fall backward i also take off my back hand and keep my front hand near the centre of the
bar. by doing this you automatically get the lift and redirect.

i saw a version where the person was facing the ground as they did it
they might have done a bar passcarltb - 8-12-2011 at 02:42 AM
Dan does a version where he does a #@%$#! grind then add a 3 at the end (1min42 on his vid) but apart from that i havent got a clue what you are on
about. amy links to this vid?carltb - 8-12-2011 at 02:47 AM
ha ha ha cant say c o c k on this forumshortlineflyer - 8-12-2011 at 07:07 AM
no
ive only ever seen it in one video
it was at a beach
i dont know what video it was thoughB-Roc - 8-12-2011 at 09:17 AM
There's one of the New zealand guy who flies Ozone and rides GI where he slides fully powered from heel to toe side. Its not a 360 but his face is to
the ground. Maybe he means that?? Its in the video of him jumping over his truck at the beach. Don't know his name or the link.shortlineflyer - 11-6-2012 at 11:10 AM
I finally found an example of the trick
at 2:10 and 2:47
yea that the same trick and description i gave you months ago, how do i know ..............................
cos its me!!!!shortlineflyer - 12-6-2012 at 08:23 AM
I'm sorry. I originally thought it was a different video.
Carltb you are an amazing rider. I always watch in awe as i see all the amazing tricks in your videos. I wish I could be half as good as you are.
what tricks should i learn if any before attempting that onecarltb - 12-6-2012 at 09:15 AM
this is actually one of the safest tricks you can learn as if you get it wrong you will only get dragged instead of falling.
thanx for the compliment on my riding but we all had to start somewhere.
have you ever done a toeside versionBladerunner - 14-6-2012 at 04:39 PM
Those look like 2 different moves to me? The one I would like to learn is a true 360 and heel side is at 2:06. The one at 2:47 is a toe side drag but not really a 360?
YES, we are very lucky Carl shares with us. I don't think anybody in North America is riding ATB at His level ! shortlineflyer - 14-6-2012 at 04:43 PM
I would like to be at that level one day
still working on starting to jump
