!VIDEO! Round and Round

bobalooie57 - 4-12-2011 at 09:39 PM

I spent the afternoon at Southwick Beach again. Wind was strong(20g30)from the SSE. Not the best direction, but plenty to ride! BuzzUniverse provides the tune: Round and Round from the Living Breathing Magic CD.

Looks like you had a blast..!! Cool tune ! Did Susan make that NPW....?

bobalooie57 - 4-12-2011 at 10:01 PM

No, that's an HQ model, 2.4M NPW5. I tried the HQ 3.4M NPW9 I got from lad last week, it taught me a lesson! Had me up on 2 wheels when I wasn't expecting it! This was before I even got a chance to turn on the camera. I landed it just so I could get the camera, and when I came back it was balled up in a knot! I haven't even untangled it yet.. Yeah it was fun!

Great video!

I am curious how you got the music in there and Youtube did not nuke it on you? I have tried putting music credit etc in and Youtube always yanks the audio..

bobalooie57 - 5-12-2011 at 07:16 AM

Most of my video's I've been lucky, and picked a tune not blocked by youtube. Once I tried to use Alabama Getaway, by the Greatful Dead, and WMG blocked it, so I had to pick from youtubes listing.(ugh) This song and the one in my last video are by a band I saw in 2008 at an "End of Summer" Festival, named Buzzuniverse, and after buying their latest CD on line I e-mailed the group and asked permission to use their tunes, and was allowed as long as I gave them full credit, which I have in both the video, and the youtube writeup.

Hrmm I will have to look into the youtube listing thing... Thanks!

I didn't get to buggy this weekend, so watching you is the next best thing bobalooie57! Looks like you had fun.

Thanks for posting- cool tunes :)

BTW: How long are the lines you are flying that NPW on? They look pretty short in the vid...

snowspider - 5-12-2011 at 07:46 AM

Cool beaners Bob ,pretty amazing when you can buggy in the north country in December in sunshine!
We were hop'n and pop'n in the park sunday , beautiful day but we are all getting restless for some snow and ice.

bobalooie57 - 5-12-2011 at 07:52 AM

It will come(I hope!) Last year I buggied at the beach on New Years Day, but snow kited the following weekend!

bobalooie57 - 5-12-2011 at 08:00 AM

@MikeDobbs, those lines are about 10M, I think. They came with that NPW, which I got from ragden. Small kite, short lines makes the kite kind of jumpy, but you see how easy to recover from a crash. It was quite gusty and punchy in spots, so the short lines make it a little touchy, but it's still lots of fun.

kitemaker4 - 5-12-2011 at 09:48 AM

Short lines work great on nasa wings when your buggy area is small.

Susan (npw goddess)

lad - 5-12-2011 at 12:23 PM

Jeesh...I was just gonna ask you if you tried out that NPW9 yet...and how it went!
