Unexpected wind came up Sunday so I grabbed the youngest and hit the park. This was his 1st time on a quad line, and only his second time flying a
kite!
He's a natural, or maybe just picked up habits (good and bad) from dad?:singing::shocked2:
He is flying a 2m Buster3, I am liking this little kite more and more! I had it spinning like a Rev at one point, though that made it stall after 2
revolutions.. Little bit of me on the 8m Pepper2 at the end, though wind was gone.bobalooie57 - 5-12-2011 at 07:50 AM
Nice one, lamrith. It looks like the youngun is rightly hooked on the best sport! Good for you. I tried to teach my son to fly, (he was 28 at the
time) he got frustrated too easily and gave up. He'd still rather play games on his x-box. for Joe Sat!MikeDobbs - 5-12-2011 at 07:53 AM
Thanks for sharing- great to see the next generation of kiters learning :bigok:lamrith - 5-12-2011 at 07:58 AM
Thanks guys. That was my 1st time using the gopro also. trying to get it figured out well before skiing in 3 weeks :-p Might need to tweak teh
angles just a hair.
Yeah he picked it up right off. Only other time he flew he flew a HQ Symphony beac 1.7. He put that into the ground quite a bit, but it was a hair
windier that day and the Symphony is a wicked fast little bugger. This Buster was much more smooth and stable.Todd - 5-12-2011 at 08:06 AM
Hey Larry, go into your settings for the video and click on the button to allow mobile devices to watch please.lamrith - 5-12-2011 at 09:08 AM
Todd - I am not seeing that option anyplace? Is it specific to each video?cheezycheese - 5-12-2011 at 09:13 AM

Looks like you have to have a Vimeo plus account to do mobile. I will get the vedeo hosted up on my personal server shortly, that should be viewable
by anyone regardless of device?Todd - 5-12-2011 at 09:17 AM
Yes, go to your video click settings. Then in the left column there should be a button I think that will do the trick.Bigbear97e - 5-12-2011 at 09:31 AM
won't be long and he'll be showing dad how to work that VII-19 ......:Ange09:thanson2001ok - 5-12-2011 at 09:50 AM

There were no places showing "allow mobile".
I don't have a plus account, Not going to pay to host videos when I have my own webserver to host on... I can't upload from work, so I will get it on
my server tonight and post the link here..
Big - No way he is gettin his mitts on my baby V2. He was jabbering away about my "big" 8m Pepper2 Probably lose it if I had rolled out the V2, but
there was not enough wind for that...:wee:cheezycheese - 5-12-2011 at 11:28 AM
I watched this on my phone Todd... :dunno:cheezycheese - 5-12-2011 at 11:30 AM
Try viewing the "non-mobile" version of Vimeo. At the bottom o the page is a link...Todd - 5-12-2011 at 01:17 PM
Man I miss flying at that place... it's about the only thing I miss other than flying with you guys
It is a premo option, just found that out... My thunderbolt wouldn't play it so no worries but do turn on your comments Larry!lamrith - 5-12-2011 at 02:36 PM
I think I did actvate comments when looking for mobile.. Rest easy I plan to upload it to my server tonight. basic .wmv file 188mb.. I will let you
know when it is up there with a link. ;-)
Yeah I wish it was closer to me, 25-30min each way, but I was hitting it at least once a week after work until DST made it to dark..
Thsi trip was a total spur of moment, outside hanging xmas lights and felt that blessed puff of wind, grabbed the youngest and hauled!!:singing:shehatesmyhobbies - 5-12-2011 at 02:56 PM
Sweet deal! Another young one hitting the flying fields! My son is 8 now and flies like there is no tomorrow! Keep up the good work dad and son!PHREERIDER - 5-12-2011 at 05:52 PM
cool spot . little dude is into itlamrith - 5-12-2011 at 06:23 PM
Here is a direct link to video file on my server..
I have a strong feeling that young one will be riding ATB right behind you . Does he ski ( read snowkite ) yet ?
:bigok:lamrith - 5-12-2011 at 07:08 PM
He ski's better than I used to! We have had him on ski's since he was 5 or so.
Kiteski in time Dad needs to learn and be the pro 1st!! least for a little bit until he blows by me!! ATB eventually.. He has wanted to snowboard,
but we keep convincing him not to, his older brother and I did for a while, tough when everyone else is 2 planking. ATB lends itself more to
boarding, so who knows if/when that will happen..
