So I'm just starting out and wanted to get someone's take on my kite package:
Ozone Flow 4m with bar
Ozone Access SB (or XB?) Harness
My biggest concern is matching kiter weight with an appropriate kite size. I'm a small guy at 110lbs, 5'4". Should I get the 3m starting out? Winds
seem to be on the calmer side here in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. Do I need to get the harness immediately? or can I learn how to use the kite
without it for now?

Are you snowkiting with skiis or a snowboard? It seems to me that skiers don't require quite as much power as snowboarders. The harness will extend
your flying time, but you could start without it. If price concious, I think Windzup still has a Pure kit for $250.00, listed here.

Do you own the 4m already or are you considering buying it? If you already own a 4 I'd go with a 2.5 to complement it. You are pretty light. I
wieigh 145 and when I flew mostly fixed bridles I was on a 2.5, 3, 4, 5.5, 6, 7, 8.5 quiver and in the winter I've used them all but mostly got out on
my 2.5, 3, and 4. So you being lighter then me, I'd say you could go with a 4m and use it in a variety of conditions and in winds maybe as low as 10
mph but I doubt you'll be holding on to it as it approches 20. Best to find out what the real average wind conditions are and start on a 2.5, 3 or 4
but no bigger.
Really you can't go wrong with any of those as long as you fly them in the right conditions. At your weight, a 4m could become a handful in moderate
winds. But the flow is rather tame and well behaved so you should be OK if you start out in real low winds and build your way up.
Harnesses for fixed bridle kites aren't necessary and generally not encouraged for new fliers.

I'll be using skis once I figure out to how to fly the kite.

kite is awfully tempting.

I didn't purchase one yet. There are only a few days with wind speeds over 20 mph. Average is 10mph. Your experience makes me think the 3m will be
best.
