Is there snow anywhere in MN? Cause there isn't down by the twin cities. Or do any of the lakes have any snow on them? Just wondering because this
"snow-drought" is KILLING me.

Not a single flake down here! Ice fisherman are tip-toeing out on protected bays, but still not safe enough for me! It's killing me! Last year we
had over a foot of snow in December, so what the heck gives?:evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil:

New to the sport, but am in the NW suburbs. Looking forward to getting out. Would love to get out with an experienced person or 2 AJ!

None waaaay up north either. If you want some wicked fast fun, you can always go out on the glare ice of Lake of the Woods. Northeast MN by Grand
Marais has some but hard to find big enuf lakes that have safe ice. The cold and snow has gotta come sooner or later, most likely later.

Got a switchblade on my board and headed your way Jack the week after Christmas. Were leaving from Warroad headed to the northwest angle with sleds
in tow. Come on out and bring your pads! Bruce, Seth, Me, not sure who else, but at least a couple of us.

Haven't been up there yet, just riding on the local "bog" but rumor has it the ice is awesome, unless of course you count the 200 ft wide gap that
has opened up near
Rocky point. Good thing thats not anywhere near where you guys are headed. Im surprised you guys are still going during that timeframe. What day
are you planning on arriving??? I wouldn't mind tagging along for a ways

Just called Bryce. The band broke up. People are saving vacation for after snow comes. I'll keep you posted when were up there.

Good call Aaron. The lake has a LOT of questionable areas on it on the West side. Not sure how familiar you are with LOW, but just off of Springsteel
island, (you would kite right past it on the way to the Angle) there is a huge area that has opened up, with fishhouses stuck on the opposite side.
We need a LOT of cold weather to refreeze these areas, and if the fishermen aren't careful, someones gonna have a really bad day...
