Please share this video to get these kids as much exposure as possible. Joe Catanoso has done a great job of sharing the art of flying with the crew
and these folks are our future flyers
Learning To Fly

Very cool. How did you connect? Did they reach out to you or vice versa? We all should do this.

We hold our event in WW each year. Joe has always been around for the bash, he lives in WW so it's not that far a drive (lol). I thought that we
should do something nice for the community that is so welcoming to our event. Todd Called Joe to figure who we could raise money for. I looked high
and low for several places that we could do something nice for, say beach replenishment and other beach related projects. Could not get anything
going. Joe had been contemplating getting a club together for the school(which the community just saved from being closed) and off we ran with it. We
got together with Peter Lynn, HQ, VTT, Skydog and many other people that gave us donations to hold a great raffle. We raised almost $2000 in one
weekend and had one heck of a raffle! Great prizes, lots of kites, jackets, skis, custom kite stakes, helmets, and even a VTT special edition, one of a
kind ECKS WBB buggy! After the raffle, another 6 or 8 people had other trainer type kites and donated them to the club as well! It was an awesome
experience to get so many people behind this!
I love kite people! Some of the best people on Earth!

OK I'm down for stating a crew. To bad all the kids I know are to cool to fly kites. Might be worth looking into for the schools around here. I
wouldn't even know where to begin though. I would need a few kids from every school. I'm sure that there is probably only 1 kid per school that isn't
to cool to fly kites. I had one friend that wasn't tool cool although during recess I did fly kites. Every kid did make fun of me but no one could
seem to stop watching me. Everyday I would have 20 or more people out by the parking lot watching me fly my kites in high school. I flew foils, 2
string deltas, and of course a 4 string trainer kite. My friend was the only other one to fly with me and he just flew the deltas. Anyways got
sidetracked on a story there. How would I go about getting a club started for teens in my area?

Thank you for the kind comments and thank you Rich for breaking it down for me. I currently on the road and It's difficult to catch a moment to reply.
I would suggest that anyone wishing to do this should first contact the school or school board to see what needs to be done. Joe (joecat) on here or
(LBJ) as we call him might be of assistance. I'll shoot him a message and get him to chime in.
