Hey guys & gals-
Happy New Year! I just flew in to my mom's for the New Year, and I'll be here for about 3 weeks before I head back to Korea. Wind, wind...i need wind!
I had ordered the Flysurfer Unity 12m Deluxe edition, and was pleased to see that it was here when I arrived. A couple things I noticed: first of all,
the color isn't green as the Flysurferwebsite shows for the 12m. I am thinking that the deluxe edition is of a different color, and it's just not
shown for the Unity on their website. When I look at the Speed 3 on their site, it shows the same goldish color for 3 different deluxe sizes - I'm
guessing the same is true for the Unity?
Something else I found peculiar is that the kite came inside the kite bag, neither being wrapped in plastic. A red card was included in the bag that
said this product was taken out and tested in the shop, and that they assure this is a new, unused kite. No warranty papers, and no manual came with
the kite either, which is a bit odd. These should be included, right? It's such an expensive new toy, so I want to be sure about some things. I did
take it out and unrolled it on the grass and sorted the lines. All looks good, although the handlebar looks slightly sloppy where they made the foam
cuts. I ordered the kite through Kite-Line in Bend, Oregon but the kite was shipped directly to me from a Robert at Pure Kiteboarding.
I'll be writing up a review after I get a session or two in. I'm quite excited and growing impatient because of the lack of wind. May the New Year be
filled with moving air!
Happy Holidays

Talked to Robert today at Flysurfer-USA (Pure Kiteboarding?). Helluva nice guy. Everything's all set...except for the wind! Looks like I'll be
waiting until Monday. I guess that gives me Sunday to recover from the New Year's celebration!

sounds like a sweet kite.....................the manuals have alwayz been hit or miss but avail to download on their site (maybe thats it). Ted is a
great guy but very busy. If you cant reach him you have the North American Flysurfer guru in Powerzone @ powerzonekitesports. com. A few us us here
dabble and tinker and have become pretty darn proficient as well (Kami, AD, myself to list a few). If you have any questions dont hesitate to shout
out. I understand from what Ive read the Unity flies very nice. A bit further forward in the window without as much side pull as the Pulse/P2. I also
understand it flies well down the line in the follow me mode on waves. I can tell you Flysurfers are great buggy/landboard motors, and of course water
kite. Reminder to depower the kite on reverse launches assists the re-launch and prevent huge hot relaunches pulls and skuds (which is nice when the
water is cold).......................

Unfortunately, ALL DELUXE kites are in the gold/silver/white colors. Unless you SPECIFICALLY request a DIFFERENT color. And then you might end up
paying EXTRA for that special color. Sad, but that is the way it is.
I would have liked to get a Deluxe 12m S3 with some off colors, but it just wasnt worth the price difference to me.
Hope you like the kite! Glad to hear you got everything sorted with Robert. I would have been a little freaked if the kite had arrived that way too.
Though, to be honest, the kites are not generally wrapped in plastic, but packed super tight, with ripstop ties around it holding it in place in the
bag. The bar comes in a special plastic bag with these crazy "chain-looking" knots in the line. The same was true of all four of my Flysurfer kites as
I got them new.

nice, it sounds like very stable kite, very easy to handle. Definitely post your thoughts once you log in some good sessions.

also forgot to mention Ragden................he too has been a longtime FSer pilot..............looking forward to your reviews....................my
12m Pulse 2 (reg fabric) kicks in about 8mph in the buggy/12mph on water. Deluxe fabric should give you 2kts on the lower end if their power output is
comparable..............
