Can a 2012 Cabrinha Crossbow LW 55cm bar be used with an arc kite? All safety systems are there.
LEI lines are the same length. Are the arc's?AD72 - 31-12-2011 at 12:26 PM
All lines are equal. Safety must be to one front line. Check the Arc FAQ to compare to the 04 and 07 bar setup.
Man I wish there were stickies on this forum.4mylifetime - 31-12-2011 at 02:18 PM

Stickies... forum posts that are permanently "pinned" to the top of their respective thread listings.... or holiday chocolates that have been
accidently left in jacket pockets.

The IDS bars flag out to one of the front lines, but I'm not sure how far the bar can move up the line, I think there is a stopper ball or ring at
some point. The line has to go though the bar enough for the ARC to flatten out completely (full length of the kite).AD72 - 31-12-2011 at 06:54 PM

Stickies?
No need for sorry. I was asking the same question a while back and it has been asked enough times I wish we could have a FAQ as a part of the forum.
Indigo posted the Arc FAQ link. Welcome and no harm in asking 4mylifetime - 31-12-2011 at 07:11 PM
Thanks everyone.
After reading all this and the link, it would appear that since all lines are the same length and the Cabrinha is a wide bar and it has all the safety
systems, that all one would have to do is attach the leash to either of the two centre lines above the junction point and all is ok.
Indigo, nice one on the chocolates...
Einica, the travel on the new IDS bar is at least 18" likely more without getting it out to measure.elnica - 1-1-2012 at 01:20 PM
I think you are talking about the throw of the bar (pull in and push out range while riding). I'm talking about how far the bar would be from you if
you hit the safety release. For an arc it should be around 10-15 meters I think.
Look at the video below, at 3:05 you can see the flag out at the bar, at 1:58 you can see the flag out at the kite. The bar in that video uses rear
line safety but the idea is the same as the center line safety. The bar has to be able to move up the safety line far enough for the kite to flatten
out completely.
The leash can be attached below the bar (normal cabrinha attachment point) as long as the safety line can move freely (no rings/stopper balls etc, or
if there is one it should be a good 10-15 meters away from the bar).Looking_Up - 1-1-2012 at 08:31 PM
I use a liquid force long throw bar with below the bar trim
I also safety on the rear only for lack of devising a really clever spinning front line safety but ill post once I get that urica momentkrumly - 2-1-2012 at 09:05 AM

Is your LF bar a 2:1 pulley bar? If so, does it make for a lot of bar pressure with the Arcs?
krumlyLooking_Up - 3-1-2012 at 09:27 PM
No it is direct and there isn't a lot of bar pressure
