What kite will you never sell?

SecondWind - 12-4-2006 at 06:03 AM

I've been trading, selling and buying kites lately.

But I think I've found two that I'll keep for a long time - a big ol' Blade and the little Bullet.

What kite(s) do you plan on keeping forever?

Everything's for sale, there's always room to try out new gear.

One of Ted Dougherty's first Quadrifoil 25 prototypes (1989-90?). It's ugly, dirty and old, but it's the kite that led us into kite traction as we know it. Ah the good ol' days!

Thats what I mean - something out of the ordinary, "vintage" or has special meaning.

My Rev PowerBlast 2-4

It was thanks to that kite that I fount this sport. I was in a kite shop on vacation looking for a better 2 line kite, I had never even heard of quad line kites or foils. Kite only have one or two strings, right? They were playing the SuperBlast instructional video just for noise. I was mesmerized by the acrobatics of the kite and stood watching the video almost from the start. At the end Joe hops in a buggy and takes off across a field. I was hooked.

Though I buggy with a foil far more often than my 2-4, there is hardly I time that I go out to buggy that I don't at least pop my 2-4 in the air and fly it for a while.
