Popeye you are the best. Sharing your skills and talents with the world! With all the plans in hand, I still could not master what you have done!

Carl this is great. Now you need to do a session on making ice blades!! Are you north enouph to have ice?

Talk about setting yourself up for a huge pile of good karma! Popeye, you are the pay it forward Man!

How about the Kite Bike? My dream buggy would be one that could switch rear ends out between a two wheel axle and a single wheel so that I could effectively have a buggy and a bike in one.

Dman talk to Weldngod, he built that exact same thing. Changes over in minutes.

That is just so simple to do..the owner of this bike wanted exactly what you are after.http://popeyethewelder.com/ptw-cougar-bike

Take the bike attatchments off, add axle in its place....kite buggy

I PM you about 6 months ago on pricing of the bike and have been stashing pennies away since but it's been a tough year for pennies!

Rich, thanks for the heads up. I didn't think WG was making buggies for anyone but himself though?

Sorry Dman, thought you were thinking of building one yourself. I knew had built one and thought maybe you were looking for pics.

Sure, but it looks just like a regular Cougar 2.5 then, once the skids and rear end is taken off

dman - 19-1-2012 at 05:58 AM

That makes sense. back to penny stashing for me.

I have been drooling over this buggy since the first time I saw a picture of it. If only I had taken the time to read plans and learn to weld

Thank you for sharing Popeye! :spin::spin::spin:

Didn't know where else to put this...

How are you guys pulling your wheel bearings? I have a PL XR on barrows and one of my bearings squeek on occasion so I'd like to pull it and clean/regrease it. Thanks

BeamerBob - 7-2-2012 at 02:49 PM

You can probably put your axle bolt just in the bearing and twist it out. Trying to push it out from teh other side could damage your bearing.

ChrisH - 7-2-2012 at 04:59 PM

That worked perfectly, thanks! I also found new bearings on fleabay for cheap, 10 6204rs sealed bearings with an abec rating of 3 for $28.47 shipped. They sell them at Napa Auto Parts as well but they're $5-something a piece. Not a bad price either, though. Thanks again :)
