Is much of the debris from the Japanese earthquake showing up on the beach yet?

Vancouver is on the Salish Sea, not the open Pacific, so we probably won't see much of it., at least for a while.

Looks like it's not forecast to start hitting the W. Coast until 2013/2014. I suspect the first places to see the debris will be the NW Islands of
Hawaii and Guam.

if I do.

No worries, it would probably get stuck in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch:

The first stuff known to be from the Japanese earthquake has been found on a BC beach. A Harley Davidson in a crate was found last week on Graham
Island.

Have a friend who crab/fishes of the Washington Coast out of Westport who told me last weekend they have seen lots of lumber from houses and floating
plastics. Also saw on the national news this week that Alaska has quite a bit of junk on beaches already.
