HHI to NMB downwinder

spoke to my neighboor fellow kiteboarder this afternoon and he is planning a Hilton Head to North Myrtle Beach downwinder this spring.......time frame late May to middle of June........2/3 day event with boat and jet ski support................if interested let me know and as the details come available I will keep you in touch...........air temps will be in the 80s, water temps high 70s low 80s with S to SSW winds 15 to 20 kts...........lets see if we can get some PKF participants.............:thumbup::thumbup:

Man, that would be soo much fun...wish I didn't live a few thousand miles away! Can't believe those water temps...boy, am I jealous!

as the crow flies its about 170 miles from HHI to NMB......................amazing scenery with island after island as you move north..................surfboard will help with fatigue so practice up..................get boost fever swap over to your TT...................make sure euipment is solid and ready to go. If either one of the local shops get on board, demos (kite/boards), repair kits, etc should be available..................looking for some fluid replacement companies to jump on board as well..................

HHI to chas would make a nice full afternoon trip IF the wind is up BY 1pm in HHI.

about hour before low IF the wind is up! thats the problem.

Jp has talked about past couple years

from my regular spot i can make ST helena sound in <2hours easy. 4-5 hour steady on it to sulli's. would you need a boat? seems alot for sail up esp, with a group. should look for a cat guy to run along.
