F-arc video.

So, With all the talk about the Phanny2 and the recent appearance of the F-Arc, I was asked about this rare breed of kite and decided to search some vids.

Found this one that really shows what flying a ribbon is like.

Skinny bowtie-ing hard to launch ribbon of a kite...but man this thing is fast and awesome!

That video is great!

Another that also shows the real power of the F-Arc is this one:

But we have to consider the mastery of the rider (Chris a.k.a Feyd) since I truely believe that this model isn't for the inexperienced, :D

Bit off the topic here:
does anyone have a modified F-arc (dog ears removed)

I would like to know at which exact point along the spar should rear lines be connected ?

I hear through FB and the ice reports they have some Epic Ice sailing up in N.H. Chris should chime in if he ever takes a breather from heaven.

@ Don, Chris mentions his ski tuning "secrets" here..

When I fly the 12 or 16, I get a ton of slack to the steering lines. It seems like there is tension on the power lines and one of the other lines--the other one looks bowed out. I flew the 12 for the first time today and really liked its up wind performance. it's a pain in the ass though when the wind shifts and dies down from 20+ gusts to 12 knots. I wound up with a downwind walk of shame. Still a really fun session.

I don't see the same sort of slack when I fly the Charger with this bar and line set up.

You won't see that slack on the Charger Suds. The VPC.

You front connection points may be too short. Or you're rears too long. Front is supposed to be 25 1/2 inches for the 12m. I think the rear is 4".

So I should extend the front connections, they are only ca. 5cm. on the 12m. On the rear I attached directly to a big knot of ripstop. I guess I need to make some pigtails

That is exactly what I did to my 12m, attached 4inch pigtails to the rear knot of ripstop for adjustability.
