Consider army surplus ECWCS "brown" polypro thermals, tons of them on ebay and at a fraction cost of polyolefins.
These will keep you super warm, comfortable , they wick moisture away and keep you warm even when completely soaked thru (sweat or leaky drysuit).
I use them as base for snow kiting and with the drysuit.

nothing like a piss to warm up your wet suit

the idea of wearing SOMETHING ELSE under your suit is a mystery to me. the suit application gets me sweating, couldn't imagine doing it with a fleece stuff/poly whatever already on. WIND protection seems more the issue. a diver obviously needs more. i have worn a 3/2 during the winter and the best added step , a raincoat with a hood, no insulation. basic cover from the wind.

got a new suit 5/3 semi dry. had to dunk to stay cool, what a sweat box. got wind skin coating super hot, neil pryde 3000 ?or ? 5000. anyway, a regular session buddy got it for me and he said it made HIM cold to see me session in 3/2 in dead of winter.

price is crazy for an electric shirt. for an astronaut/pro diver sure, i think it may be cheaper to buy ticket to the DR!

Doneski i don't think you would piss a decent suit, i don't ...anymore!

That's just nasty. I've NEVER done that. I don't loan wetsuits and don't borrow them for just that reason alone.

looks like nice wind 15-20mph all this week ...... and my booties and gloves are in mail ..... hoping to try Lucifer for a first time next weekend .... water temp in bay is around 45F and air 40-50F right now ...... and sadly looks like getting colder in next few days ....... for now I will try my under armor and bring with me my 3/2 wet suit just in case thats is not enough .....
.... I am sure the best way to find out how much insulation I need is to try it ....lol..... Hope to finally get some rides .....

Wet suit. Hot water dump works great.

Under my drysuit I wear long thermal underwear , Sweat pants and top on super cold days. A lot like under my snow suit. Don't over dress under the drysuit.
