Just looked at the Sylvan lake webcam - looks like it might be still snowy. Windfinder says Saturday might be worthwhile. I know there's rumor of
chinook winds down by Calgary. What's the best bet? I'm prepared to leave the house by 4:30am to come all the way down but we could meet in the middle
just the same.
How's everybody feel?

Let's give Sylvan a go Saturday. :wee:
The wind does look better there but Spray is going to be snowier. The weatherman is showing flurries between Sundry & Olds tomorrow but nothing up
near Red Deer.

I'm in - in case I hadn't confirmed. You still in? Looks like it might just be the two of us so we're either gonna be envied or people will take pity
on us for finding crusty, crappy ice ; )
I'm still game for shooting further south if you think there's a better bet. Otherwise name the time and I'll see you then/there!

There was a dusting of snow in Calgary today so if Sylvan looks crappy we can head down to Cowtown. Still better wind forecast at Sylvan. Bring your
body armour...
I'll meet you at A&W . How about 10:30?

Sounds great. See you there!

Thanks for the great day :bigok: Sylvan is still worth the trip.
Good session today. Put 24.3 km on the GPS - max speed 43.3 kph - longest leg 2.3 km - all season highs. Skimpy snow depth and a few short bare spots
(of course the wind blows hardest here) but managed to not wipe out. The old thighs are burning tonight - there is something about driving 2 hrs then
taking that first step....

See what fun can be had when I keep my wind killing skills at bay !
Glad you guys had a good time. I always felt that lake has potential. In summer as well since it is so shallow.

Boy oh boy. Do I ever feel like I'd never kited before. Maybe I should start hitting the ski hills on the no wind, no snow seasons and get them legs
working.....
Great to fly with you as always Bill.
