Drewculous - 9-2-2012 at 07:44 PM

.... What cant I miss?

Never been there before, what do I have to do?

Drewculous - 9-2-2012 at 07:45 PM

....lol!

Leaving at 7am tomorrow!

I got two things for sure... The stratosphere coaster, and the fremomt street zip line... And the cameras are going along!

lad - 9-2-2012 at 08:10 PM

hmmm, besides Ivanpah, there's natural wonders like Valley of Fire.

Strato is cool, coaster was down, just checked out the view.

I also noticed an indoor skydiving place there too.

If you got the spare buck$, see Penn & Teller - great show!

BeamerBob - 9-2-2012 at 09:24 PM

We've seen Blueman group and it was worth it. The caveman comedy show was NOT worth it. Styx is in concert at Green Valley tomorrow night. Gotta watch the Belagio fountain and walk through the major casinos. zip line and all of Fremont street is a must do. Mystere Cirque show is very underwhelming if you've seen a good one before. Might be ok as a first one then they would just get better from there. We saw La Nuba in Orlando years ago and are still in awe. Mystere was not the same level of awesome.

I'd love to meet up with you for a cold beverage if possible. You have room for a slightly used custom made (for your buggy) teak rear deck for the ride home? :Ange09: Then there is the hope we could get you down to Ivanpah. We are riding tomorrow afternoon for a hoorah with BLM tomorrow afternoon. I have a spare buggy, kites, and a seat down there if you are here by lunch and free till dark.

I second Bob's motion for Blueman group...

I have never been to Vegas, but I saw them in NYC about 10 yrs ago in a really small theater, and it was the most awesome show I've ever seen... Those guys are talented!

Drewculous - 10-2-2012 at 06:53 AM

We are flying in today, and out on sunday... Id love to go to ivanpah, but I really doubt my wife would go for that lol!

We're technically in vegas for a college project for my wife... She has to see a couple live musical performances... so she somehow landed on elton john, in vegas...

Btw... Bobby, did you change your number? I shot you a text the other day and got a kind of funny response lol! on that note: who texted me this morning? Im guessing it was bobby but im not sure... And im hesitant to send more kite comments to unknown people

Thanks for the input... Ill bounce the ideas off the wife!

Inside the venetian at sunset! Fake sky FTW

Drewculous - 10-2-2012 at 10:45 AM

Lol took 20mins to get through security at the tiny regional airport in loveland.... They had never seen a tachyon!

They made me tear the whole thing apart, and scan each item separately.... she just kept saying "what do you do with it? Why would you wear a camera? This doesnt look like any camera ive ever seen"

Wow

BeamerBob - 10-2-2012 at 11:09 AM

It does look sinister like it could shoot "something" out the end!

bobalooie57 - 10-2-2012 at 11:22 AM

Hi tech plastic ray gun! TSA ha! Well they got a job to do, now don't they?

AZKevin - 10-2-2012 at 11:41 AM

I took the wife to Le Reve. Hands down the most amazing show in my opinion. Fire, water acrobats! It was great. Then we got free tickets to The Peep show with Holly Madison....that was good too

Drewculous - 10-2-2012 at 01:24 PM

Well, I finally got to see ivanpah... From the freaking plane

g00fba11 - 10-2-2012 at 03:27 PM

Def don't miss the zip line on Fremont......

Stop by the Golden Gate Casino while you are down on Fremont for some outstanding deli sandwiches that won't break the bank and their famous 2 dollar shrimp #@%$#!tail that is very good......

The coaster and the power tower on the strat are a rush..... you can also do the repel type line down the side......

Everyone is right on about the Blueman Group

Trevi's at Ceasar's Palace for some great italian.... the Fruti di Mare is superb.....

One of the best steak houses is in the Circus Circus but you will have to hold your nose to cross the smoking gaming floor to get there....

Diablo's on the strip serves up some awesome Tex Mex.....

Casino Royale and/or Billy's for Dollar beers and 2 dollar footlongs if you need a break on the wallet..... also some of the cheapest ante table games on the strip....... sign up for the players bonus at Casino Royale and receive free slot play and Ben and Jerry's ice cream coupons......

Stop by Bobby's house he may need help wrapping a mattress..... just keep your camera in the bag or BB will take his shirt off.......

and don't forget to stop by Gilley's at TI and take a ride on the mechanical bull.......

Bladerunner - 10-2-2012 at 06:28 PM

Go to the top of the Stratosphere and take the rides in the Sky. The reverse bungy thing is my favorite! Night time adds to the thrill. It is pretty reasonably priced .

I agree , I here Vegas and I thought you were going to Ivanpah. It is a MUST !

I understand BeaverBob has a free taxi service for PKF members and Fam". ;-);-)

BeamerBob - 10-2-2012 at 08:18 PM

Yes free taxi service if you match my schedule. Guys if you ever get one on one with Goof, don't say anything that makes a good sound bite especially if taken out of context! :P:moon:

g00fba11 - 11-2-2012 at 11:30 AM

Cameras rolling

Drewculous - 12-2-2012 at 07:58 AM

Well in true vegas fasion, im on the plane with only a couple hours of sleep lol!

We hit more food stuffs than anything... im a fat guy after all

hash house a go go is an absolute must! Who knew rosemary fried chicken, on waffles with cooked-in bacon, piled 18" with a maple syrup reduction could be so good! Paired with a bacon-bloody mary... :singing:

Hit the carnegie deli... Was spendy, but a pastrami piled 1' high was worth it im my book

We also took a cab out to hot & juicy crawfish... Omg awesome! The meal lived up to the name!

In two days we hit every hotel, including the stratosphere... Lol I swore a little too loudly in front of some kids on the big shot  good view tho!

Saw elton john, and the blue man group... Both very good!

Sadly no kites, but oh well... Theres always next time!

BeamerBob - 12-2-2012 at 10:42 AM

Yes, Hash House is probably our most frequented restaurant here. We go to the one in the "M" Casino, but I understand there is one on the strip. I hate our schedules didn't cross while you were here, but as you can see, you barely scratched the surface and you haven't been off the strip yet!

Drewculous - 13-2-2012 at 01:14 PM

the crawfish place is off the strip? Its in, well what looked like, china town... we went the the market accross the street!

It KILLED me not to kite on saturday... the wind was kicking in town! At least it was on top of the stratosphere

awindofchange - 13-2-2012 at 05:09 PM

Same here, sorry we missed you. Next time for sure!
