tats for kites?

bigkid - 13-2-2012 at 05:51 PM

had a customer ask about payment for an order and made the remark, "no tattoo".
Got me thinking........:puzzled:
What would you do for a set of kites? and if it was a tat, what and where?

cheezycheese - 13-2-2012 at 06:01 PM

are you offering a set of kites for the best answer...?:thumbup:

I want to get a tattoo of a monkey kite landboarding. For a set of ozone, flysurfer, or Peter Lynn kites I would let them put their logo on the kite in the picture. I'd even put a mbs or trampa logo on the mountainboard if I got one of those also. No seriously I have plans to get a kite landboarding monkey tattoo one day, just never planned on any branding, but if the right offer came up, I totally would do it. Think of it as lifetime advertising:bigok: Maybe when I get the tattoo done I'll leave the kite and board blank, and see if one of the companies wants to invest in some.

Tat? Absolutely. Been planning in a kite tat or 2 anyway. I'd incorporate the brand name as well for some ripstop :)

Like I said earlier, it got me thinking. With WG sporting a soulfly, has me asking what's it worth?

Any takers on a full size tat of Big Kid Kites across the chest? HaHaHa, wonder what the wife would say.

cheezycheese - 13-2-2012 at 07:17 PM

I'll do better... I'll put your logo AND face.... :D oooohhhh, I can see those Century's now.... :Ange09:

Def go for it Jeff. Donnie thought of the idea of the Phantom ribbon also and was a perfect fit for me. Cris Rousch is the artist and will be at the WBB gear in hand ready to rock.

Jeff, I would call cheezy on that one....... I know a excellent tattoo artist that is phenom at taking a photo and turning it into a tat.......

Your logo across Cheezy's chest and then have Sammy incorporate the photo to Cheezy's belly button for your mouth so the tat can talk and be a living advertisement for Big Kid Kites...... :bigok:

I can see it now......

I would hate to be the reason someone would label their body for some type of pay, but I would have to see it before you put it on and I would want to see it in person(sharpies do wonderful work) after it is done.
I guess a Century of some sort for the deed?
I think I can write it off as advertizing, right?:saint:

I got a PL phanny cancer ribbon ,flying on handles no doubt. Hey it's MY phanny and if I want it to be FB, it's FB!

And I don't want anyone thinkin I got the soulfly because of Jeff. I did it because I really like the Cent 1 and 2 "soulflys", they are just sweet tribals that represent a kite. And the great thing is ... only a REAL kiter is gonna even KNOW what it is.

Now ,if PKD would give me a job going around the world flying and buggying. I would let them put their logo on me w/ a RED-HOT cattle brand.

Here is my ribbon, it aint the prettiest, cause I F'd it up on day 2 at work.

WG, I agree the Century is just a cool graphic.
I feel that my Brooza's graphic was even better. Sort of Bat Man not Bat Man !

See the kite in the PKF logo above for an example.
