Can you ride anywhere?

Hey everybody,

Ever since I had purchased my 5M HQ Scout II I have been brainstorming and thinking of all the possible spots that I can fly it... Due to the conditions I have not even been able to break it in yet but I cant help constantly thinking about it. Due to the fact that I am brand new to the kiting world, I am unsure of the etiquette and local knowledge that I should be following. Currently I live in NJ and was wondering are there any restrictions as to where you can kite/board? The last thing I want to do is jeopardize the kiting community by going somewhere I am not supposed to.

Thanks for the insight,

BMart

Hey BMart! Welcome to your new life obsession!
Airports don't tend to like us too near them! Also I've found bird people don't like us much either. Bird sanctuaries tend to have issues with kites. It's because nesting birds can freak on kites thinking they are predatory birds up there. Basically kids kites are the issues, but ours are lumped in to kids kites. Bird issues can also be at some beaches with some theatened dune nesting birds. But other than those, everyone else will love you!
