Are you using a shoulder (backpack-type) rig to get the "wingman at 6" perspective?

Jealous! Looks like a lot fun and love the camera setup!Flyfish - 28-2-2012 at 02:06 PM
I made the backpack with an old camel back. I jig sawed a piece of Redwood to form fit inside, then mounted PVC pipe to it. Initially I glued the
joints, but found the bounceing would break them. I bolted these and ran a peice of string to both sides of the joint incase it breaks.
I like the view because you get more perspective than just with a helmet cam.

Where was this? Looks cold but those soft shoulder waves look like fun. Flyfish - 28-2-2012 at 08:46 PM
Thanks Sam! Yea, the backpack is probably better than the camera. I need to upgrade to a high def, but I'm too cheap!
Kahuna, I'm up in very Northern California. Eureka CA - next to the border of Oregon. 50 degree water year round! The waves were actually kinda big,
and we didn't want any major brake down, so we stayed on the inside.
Here's some more videos I've done, but they aren't kiteing! So hopefullly not out of place!

Looks like a fun break. Water temps here just rose to 53 degrees, but haven't had any decent surf in over a month. Sure miss the Pacific...MikeDobbs - 29-2-2012 at 07:30 AM
