When I walk to my basement before every session I need few minutes to go thru gear and decide what is going with me to the beach ....... lately I was thinking about buying car just for kites so I can keeper them there all the time , jump in and drive to the beach ....... Crazy ...... I need professional help ......
...... Thinking about selling few kites ....... or maybe not ......

How many kites is in you possession ??????

erratic winds - 7-3-2012 at 10:28 PM

Only 6 at the moment. Now, how many kites have I owned? Well, a few more than that! :bouncy:

Not up to your numbers tho!

There's a reason why a number of users here don't list their kites in their sig, it'd take up pages!

BeamerBob - 7-3-2012 at 11:06 PM

Can we just skip ahead to G00fba11?:saint::duh::lol:

DAKITEZ - 7-3-2012 at 11:09 PM

As far as my wife is concerned I do not own any :)

KiteBuggyMama - 7-3-2012 at 11:13 PM

Sad to say I can't vote yet as I don't own any

ChrisH - 8-3-2012 at 12:05 AM

Not enough. 2 right now, need at least one more so I can ride all the time. Well, I guess I'd need 2 more, one smaller and one bigger.

my wife figured out a long time ago I was lying when I said they are demo's not mine.
Me and the grand sons counted up to 79 and forgot the bin in the back of the truck(maybe 12 more), and ran in the house to tell Grandma about all the kites Grampa has. Busted.
I HAVE NONE, THEY ARE ALL DEMO'S.:spin:

ripsessionkites - 8-3-2012 at 01:51 AM

B-Roc - 8-3-2012 at 05:10 AM

Are we counting power kites only or all the sport kites, SLKs, etc.?

I'll submitt mine for power kites and that = 10.

If we are talking about all the kites in general in our house, I think my total is closer to 40.

shehatesmyhobbies - 8-3-2012 at 05:26 AM

Well my personal kites are the Phantoms and a few foil kites that are my kids!

Conrad, get yourself a little trailer to keep them in, pull that behind one car! You can make a rack for the trailer to hold your buggy as well! Angus has a nice little set up he pulls, doesn't take up much space! Maybe he will post up a pic, I know it is on PKF somewhere, I would not even guess where to begin!

Mainekite - 8-3-2012 at 05:40 AM

9 right now, 1 on the way shortly. Then there's depower and LEI'S for the water and so on and so on. I think I'm gonna need more room in the van.

ragden - 8-3-2012 at 06:02 AM

Amusingly enough, I only have 3 power kites right now. I've been peeling back to the basics of what I use the most for awhile. Had almost 10 at one point, but worked my way down to only the ones I ACTUALLY ride. Painful process, honestly. But the kites deserved to be owned by people who would actually fly them, and not just stare at them lovingly.
;)

Morrie Williams - 8-3-2012 at 07:04 AM

Probably 150. That includes all of our single line kites, stunt kites, revs and 23 traction kites.

Bladerunner - 8-3-2012 at 07:36 AM

I had to buy a tool shed for kite gear . It is bulging on the sides !

20 is not enough !

flyguy0101 - 8-3-2012 at 07:44 AM

This makes me feel a little better knowing I have my disease under control:lol: 11 traction, 1 rev, and a few stunt kites

snowspider - 8-3-2012 at 07:59 AM

14 total , 12 in the van at all times ,2 sometimes 3 or 4 guys flying my stock. Seriously considering building a box for my little boat trailer , which already has a 4X8 flat deck on it. There is so much more gear to carry arround in the summer when the boys go with me.

WOW Morrie, does the wife know? Or are 1/2 of those hers?
I only counted the 4 line kites, the 2 line, and the single line and the rest are beyond counting, :shocked2:
If I didn't have a business I would have to say I have a problem. HaHaHaHa

mougl - 8-3-2012 at 09:07 AM

Feyd - 8-3-2012 at 09:08 AM

I just reorganized the van for a trip north this week. I have 12 in there now.

If we didn't have the van I'd be screwed.

abkayak - 8-3-2012 at 10:11 AM

started 4 months ago........4 kites. thats the right pace isn't it?

Kober - 8-3-2012 at 10:20 AM

thanson2001ok - 8-3-2012 at 10:26 AM

I completed the poll. Need to keep my answer confidential. Don't want it to fall into the wrong hands. :ninja:

Geesh, I need help.

tridude - 8-3-2012 at 10:56 AM

we all need help..........................12 to be exact (water/ water-land/land quivers) combined.................my wife/son built me a nice kite valet in the garage last fall...................
:o

g00fba11 - 8-3-2012 at 12:08 PM

@thanson you must be the lonely guy at 41-50 that just chimed in....

MikeDobbs - 8-3-2012 at 12:10 PM

7 that I bought "on purpose" and 2 other older tubies. I bought both tubies off Craigslist before I had lessons and never got the stones to fly them... but they're waiting for me... still hope to get out on them one day.

2007 Yarga 13m, and a 2006 Vegas 12m

BTW- anyone notice that NOBODY reports owning 9 kites? Is it just to tempting to sit that close to double digits and not pull the trigger

kitedelight - 8-3-2012 at 01:35 PM

wow....some of you guys could open your own kite store!

*only* got 3 depower...only..., didn't think I would be saying that until this thread came up.

Kelci helped buy most of them. About half of the stunt kites are hers plus the revs. Also, it took 25 years to aquire all of those kites.

flyjump - 8-3-2012 at 02:47 PM

The only one that really matters is the 19 charger

Not even close, GB. I am in a different league than you. :singing:

g00fba11 - 8-3-2012 at 04:47 PM

@thanson....oh I get it your out of my league in the "MORE" category....

Cheddarhead - 8-3-2012 at 07:30 PM

It's not how big your quiver is.....but what you do with the ones you have that counts!:cool2:

rocfighter - 9-3-2012 at 12:13 PM

I have a stash of single and duel liners in the cupboard in the basement. Then the Thule on the car has about 15 one trailer has dozens of kiteshow kites. The new trailer has 2-3 dozen as well. Oh man does line laundry count? Lets just say no!!
So I have maybe a hundred or more of all types and styles of kites. Traction alone about 18. Oh 19 I just got another one:wow: Can I tell her it was a wedding gift?

Kober - 9-3-2012 at 07:16 PM

only 66 votes ...... and around 1100 kites .....
....
.........only 5 people in MORE category ???? Who didn't vote ?????

Ooops, it was me.....I guess old timers is setting in.:puzzled:

pbc - 9-3-2012 at 09:00 PM

My mental count says beyond 20, but only 8 ride in the car regularly. 6 of those are fully traction. I don't fly much beyond traction.

canuck - 9-3-2012 at 09:08 PM

I have to stop at 11 traction kites - the trunk of my car won't hold anything more. 4 stunt kites for relaxation.

kitedelight - 10-3-2012 at 09:53 PM

"only 66 votes ...... and around 1100 kites ..... "

that really does put things in perspective...:o

markite - 10-3-2012 at 11:42 PM

I finally posted, definitely in the "more" category, but not all power/traction
