My girlfriend likes to kite?!?!?!

XdisasterXdrewX - 9-3-2012 at 09:06 AM

So, everyone that knows me knows that I "fly kites".
I have been dating this girl for about 2 months and I took her kiting with me a couple days ago and she LOVED it and wants to go more often.

Should I put a ring on it?
HAHAHAHA

Sweet! My wife flies stunts, but I've yet to get her into power kiting. She did have a fun afternoon on the buggy once when the wind was light though!

Dude! You need a prenup! One that says "she's gotta fly kites" LOL It's not "just a phase" she's gotta know this. You have an illness, and it's terminal. LOL:ninja::wee:

edit: Drew ,you are already screwed. Unless she's willing to renegotiate your contract....(doubtful) LOL

We are both 18 so I'm not honestly thinking about it anytime soon. But she is definitely off to a great start!

geeeze, don't you guys know that marriage is the number 1 cause of divorce...:P

XdisasterXdrewX - 11-3-2012 at 09:56 AM

I knew I had an illness but I didn't know that it was terminal.
Is there any cure?

mougl - 11-3-2012 at 12:47 PM

No cure known. Treatment method calls for more kites.

4mylifetime - 11-3-2012 at 03:37 PM

Just great...
Now I have fallen into the prescribed "treatment" and I did not even know what the treatment was before hand.
Anything else you guys aren't telling me about my illness?

mougl - 11-3-2012 at 05:09 PM

Yup...there's more...

Lack of wind can cause extreme withdrawal symptoms. Symptoms include but are not limited to: staring out the window for any trace of leaves flickering or motion in a raised flag. Standing in a field with kite set up waiting for a slight puff of wind. Sitting in your buggy for hours on end before you realize it is not your easy chair.

If you experience any of these symptoms, consult PKF right away or head directly to Jekyll Island, Ivanpah, or Wildwood beach.

magictat - 11-3-2012 at 05:22 PM

Who ever you choose,
Make sure she is a great cook.
Brother, your life will 10 times better.

lad - 11-3-2012 at 05:27 PM

You need to borrow her comb and save some hair samples to clone for future generations of lonely kiters! :bird:

LMAO then started crying because it seems I am riddled with the symptoms.

1) look at wind differently now, like a cat for anything that moves because of the wind
2) have been standing on the beach, and on lake ice waiting for enough wind to "hot launch" the kite.

As for the buggy, not yet, BUT symptom is in sight as the wife wants to keep her feet on solid ground, so the trainer kite will start this spring with her and Markite has offered some single line kites to keep her busy. As for the buggy ......
