Blokarts at NABX

pokitetrash - 14-3-2012 at 05:40 AM

I'm bringing one because I can't afford to ship the buggy with BF wheels and I don't have smaller wheels so its staying home.

Anyone who rides Blokarts out there--Any sail suggestions if I only bring one? I was figuring on the 5.5m but I have the 3, 4 also but don't really want to spend the jack on shipping all 3.

Oh, and by the way--I'm bringing my kites too so if you come back from a potty break to find a gap in the buggy parking line :ninja: --it was ME:wee: MMMWAAHHAAHHAA! OK, I'll be nice and leave the Blokart in the hole in case you want to take an easy cruise in the Lazy Boy.

You will always need the kite or sail left behind, bring the quiver.

I picture someone walking back to their buggy parking spot with a puzzled look on their face then they turn around to see you fly by with a big grin on your face. SO happy you are going to make it Pokite!

let me take your blokart for a cruise and you can take my buggy

If you are good, bring the 5.5. If you aint, but think so, the 4. If you are a newbie, a 3.
If you dont have the size needed, you can barrow one of mine :-)

Bigfoot tires couldn't be more wrong for the Playa ?

If you have barrows and that will allow you to bring your buggy they are by far a better choice for the sand paper terrain.

NABX follows a huge sail event and there are plenty who stay on. You will have more company than ever before.

Yea, I'll prolly buy some barrows soon because even on grass, the big foots are just big dead weight to lug to the field. I got the BF's for the beach which I only fly a few times a year, the rest is a polo field. Thought about getting barrows /ordered sent ahead and ship the frame, but I think I need a different front end also cause I have a PL BF fork. I was also thinking about just buying a lighter weight barrow equipped buggy (like the one I sold 'cause it was extra!!!) to have and ship around cheaper and also one my son can learn on. Now, the more I think about it, the more I might consider buying a cheap used one while out at NABX.. Dunno.

My Ivanpah just has simple spacers to accomidate both BF and barrow. Could you go that route?

I think from what BeamerBob told me, we used to have the exact same buggies and he said he put barrows on no problem without any spacers.

Yes, the wheels are the exact same. It will have a "custom look" if you have barrows on the bigfoot front fork but it will work. That fine backrest you have will make it all work right.
