Do you think the MBS Core 90 is an okay board for a 210lb adult 5'10"? Or is it a kids board?DAKITEZ - 15-3-2012 at 03:36 PM
I would not say it is necessarily a kids board but its not a man's board for sure @ 210 I would suggest you go with the core 95 as a minimum or step up to the comp90service409 - 15-3-2012 at 03:43 PM
It was new going for $220, do you have anything comparable in price, I don't care if it's used. I'm married, soooo that's why my budget is where it's

I dont have anything ... I am sure someone here on the forum might have something for you.crazyherb - 16-3-2012 at 12:11 AM
Core 90 will work...I'm 200-210 and just finished wearing out an old MBS Renegade...(the Core's el-cheapo older brother)...
I re-used the trucks and straps on a stretched piece of 3/4" plywood (totally flat)...seems to be holding up...But MAN it's UGLY....LOL
Keep an eye out on Overstock... I love the $2.95 shipping.
Walk before you run....get your feet wet....figure out if this IS your sport....then, sink some bigger cash on a COMP later..
Either way....you'll have fun...
Just stay away from the $99 ebay SDS boards...buddy has one and they are WEAK....

I trolled allofcraigslist.com for about a week-and-a-half and ended up finding a used MBS atom 95 with a brake for $80 less than 1/2 hour from my
house. The grip tape has never been dirty on the thing. It was the perfect board for this newb and it fit my budget.
I am writing this to you to remind myself, keep looking, be patient, and it will show up! Good Luck.

Great find PBandJ!
I was thinking Atom was exclusively JUNIOR size...but I see the 90 and 90X are ADULT...
New 95x for less than $160 will provide much fun...

I had a Core 90 and it wasn't bad. I think the weak point are the trucks being cast skate trucks. It seemed a decent entry level board but I think
you could get a board on here that is better and cheaper.stetson05 - 16-3-2012 at 09:47 PM
Van has a scrub rush for $125. I am not sure how that compares to a core 90 but someone with chime in. Looks to be in the same class to me.service409 - 18-3-2012 at 10:39 AM
Thanks for ur guys input, I see both sides here. I'm getting a core 90 since I'm totally new to this, I won't be pulling big airs anytime soon, and if
I break something, well then its time to upgrade that part. Plus I slated for many years and always loved short decks. Kudos to you crazyherb, that
deck is SAWEEET! Good craftsmanship.OmniSmurfZ - 20-3-2012 at 10:25 AM
Is it possible to add on a middle loop/handle onto these core boards?indigo_wolf - 20-3-2012 at 12:24 PM

Looking at the product specs for the MBS Core 90/95, you will see and entry that says:
Grab Handle: Compatible
and the descriptions for the decks themselves say:
Powerlam decks come predrilled for F-series bindings and MBS grab handles.
Short answer: Yes

Just got the core 90 today, and yep, they are predrilled for a handle. I can't wait to get it outside and get pulled around. WOOHOO!!!OmniSmurfZ - 22-3-2012 at 03:57 PM
