Why not just get on your kite and ride it-skip the buggy or board

Wonder how fast you need to be going for lift off?

Need a remote control and you don't need driver below/in front. I'd rather be in complete control.

Wonder how bad it hurts if you crash 'kite'?

Bad enough that they have been outlawed in several states! OWWW! :o

Yup, they have all been recalled by the manufacturer because of a high amount of deaths! Very dangerous inflatable toy - and definitely NOT a kite!!!

I built a bamboo and poly glider to attach to a snow sled to fly in ground effect down the reservoir hill next door. I layed in the center face forward and headed down the hill , I think I did lift off a little because it got all squirly and one wing lifted and broke off. I gave up that idea after looking at all that broken bamboo and thinking how lucky I was not to get squewered. I still like the idea but the R+D can be a little hazardous.

30mph+ if I recall gets them airborn. my dad has one, they are sketchy once in the air, but a total blast behind a strong jetski.

They also make a great float tethered to the dock/boat.

I had not heard about a recall, but that they had been discontinued.

Kober: That rig is awesome!!!! I wish they had those when I was in the ski show, would have made my wakeboarding MUCH less painful

Boat speed 18-25mph that is all it takes ... use kite force to go away from wake ..... when coming toward the wake moving kite to zenith and using wake as a ramp ..... thats all .... lol....

Jump bigger with a kite :puzzled: and don't need a nasty, smelly boat.
