Hey Sailors,
What kind of "big kite" you asking about?
Peter Lynn in New Zealand has built a 12,500 s/f single-line Manta Ray show kite.
He currently holds the record with 3 of the 10,000 s/f Flag Kites - U.S.A. Flag, the Kuwait Flag, and the Japanese Dancing Rabbit (?) Flag.
I believe those are larger than the kites used to haul transport ships.
Like that?

I'm sorry I should've clarified, I meant for using in our sport, whether its water or land. But used for pulling us around

I think Cabrinha made a 50 sq m inflatable once. And PL made a very large Synergy as well, like 50m as well. 24m PL Phantom II might be the largest
production kite for traction sports available right now.

Flysurfer Psycho II 26m is the biggest kite I have seen in practical use and the pilot was a small OG !
