Hey guys,
Is there a kiting fee where you live? In Seoul, there is basically one kitesurf shop on the Han River. They charge $1,500 per year to join their club
which includes boat "rescue" and keeping your kite there. It seems aweful expensive, no?

Are they trying to police the access to the beach or whatever? :o
I pay Y18,000 (US$200) a year for the local club house. I *could* stash my gear there but prefer to keep it with me... basically, the fee covers
parking ( ) but most importantly - hot showers! Not lol.
Also the guy who lives there does repairs real cheap and cleans up the beach...

$200 US a year for what your getting is not bad Kami, $1,500 a year (is that US?) sounds worse than a country club to play golf!!
I pay $68.00 a year for a pass to the State park I fly at. But this gets me into all of CT's parks.

wow how time changes things........................when I was stationed in Korea most folks couldnt dream of a $1500 expense for a recreational
activity (Korean or US military).

sounds like a hustle on something seen as a luxury sport.
Kiters are po' folk too.

No hustle and I guess times do change. Seems to me the average Korean is a bit wealthier than the average American, though GDP tells a slightly
different story. My buddy from Ireland went to the shop a few months ago and right off the bat the shop owner wanted him to pay that cost. He laughed
at it. Man...korean businessmen. Doesnt matter if they're a kite shop owner or selling pirated dvd's.

My every trip to kite its 150 miles in total ...... $30 in fuel, $6 in tolls .... park entry is $50 a year ..... That would be crazy if I need to
pay more for my sessions ......
kiting 2 times a week ...... that is like $3500 a year ???? did I get that right ????
