I seem to remember a word of caution and use requirements around having a camp fire on the Playa but the details escape me. I would like to have a
small fire contained in a disposable aluminum turkey basting pan(we use these in kayak trips to be compliant with fed regs for campfire along the
Colorado in the Grand) but wasn't sure if that would meet regs on the Playa. Will this work? If not and someone has a better system I could bring
some community wood to contribute.

Minimize Campfire Impacts
Campfires can cause lasting impacts to the backcountry. Use a lightweight stove for cooking and enjoy a lantern for light.
Where fires are permitted, use fire pans.
Keep fires small. Burn all wood and coals to ash, put out campfires completely, and pack out your cooled ashes.

I have a few bundles of wood if you want em. I don't plan on lighting them myself. Otherwise I will pitch them in a barrel during one of this
weekend events to keep the heat going. I'm at the near end of camp between the tent and big mike.
