Newbie/big guy board

Drewculous - 7-4-2012 at 09:05 AM

Looking for a newbie/big guy board for the water!

A door sounds like the best option, but if there's a good deal out there on something similar let me know!

240lbs atm, but they're fallin off by the day!

Would love to keep it under 500..... (those sexy carbon fiber spleene doors look amazing but $800 bucks is a little steep atm)

Could pick up at JIBE if the stars align and it happens to be there!

Thanks all!

Contact Mike at MTHboards.com. I just got one from him, custom made for under $500 shipped (just the board). It's a 160x45, shaped a bit like the doors. Carbon fiber bottom, fiberglass top (had some carbon fiber put on the top as well. Cool guy, was real easy to work with. Just tell him what you want.

Not a water person, but that's still all kinds of purty and sexy. :o

Pick up a Mako King.

I really like my crazy fly 145x48. At 205lbs it works well for me except when overpowered. I tried it vs a mako king and actually liked how mine performed better. Maybe I am just used to it. A mako might be easier to find though.

I still have my Spleene Monster Door (164x50) that I have been considering parting with for quite some time. I've been sorely tempted by some of the newer boards, but hard to part with something that works. It is an 07 board, but still in good condition.

I was initially asking 400 for it. Shipping will be a kicker as I'm in the DC area and do not generally make it down for JIBE.

U2U me if you want to discuss in more detail.
