ARC power calculator (simplified)

I created a spreadsheet for estimating ARC kite power based on PA (projected area).

This is an approximation of what power could be generated during a hot launch directly downwind in various wind speeds for various ARCs.

Enter the wind speed (blue) and numbers in red will give you approximate kite pull in pounds.

What does the sail load equate to at the harness? In 20 the p15 is going to only generate 176 & V213 @ 35 ~ 517, Based on experience and (falsely) assuming there is a direct translation to the harness, that seems low... this would also assume straps are loose.

This theoretical force is present when sail position is directly across the wind path with force distributed to all contact points.
In this case all 4 lines. Due to kite shape and location of contact points, front line will receive most of the load, so load at the harness will be most likely 70-90% (front lines) of the overall sail load.
