Just wondering if anyone here with iTunes experience can help me out. I set up iTunes on my Windows 7 PC to be able to put some of my music on to my
iphone originally. My PC soundcard runs through a DTS encoder then through an optical cable into my home theater receiver so that I can have full
surround sound. Listening to music through itunes I have a full surround sound no problems. But the movies and shows that I downloaded, only play
through my front right speaker. Even though they are suppose to have a 5.1 track. I've explored the itunes FAQ but couldn't come up with an answer. Am
I missing some sort of plug-in??? or is there some sort of compatibility issue that I won't be able to overcome??? Anyone else I talked to at work
said that their iTunes plays the audio fine. If anyone here can help I would be forever thankful.
EDIT: I found my front left speaker unplugged probably from my 19month old daughter climbing around behind it. I still don't know how
to get 5.1 out of the videos.

Do you have to use iTunes to play movies and tv?
Mplayer has better codecs.
I'll look around in iTunes but can't think of anything off the top of my head.

Normally I don't but wanted to watch a few movies I hadn't seen and figured it was cheaper to get them off itunes instead of driving down to the local
Wal-Mart and buying a dvd copy. Figured with all the bling that Apple puts into everything that this wouldn't be a possible issue.
