Thanks goof. We're a dog-loving family too. I've found myself on a couple of occasions as Holly (in my avatar) and I walk through the ravine thinking
about "the day". It's when I start thinking about her last cheeseburger and how happy it will make her despite how sad the situation will be I tear up
and have to make sure nobody is around.
I always try to avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
Now I better get a Kleenex......

Thanks Goof,
I just lost my best friend a month ago. She was able to die with her head on my lap. She was the best surf friend ever. Every time I got out of the
water, it was like we hadn't seen each other for months.

glad I could share the post...... the insight of the six year old in the story really sets the tone.....

Really made me think back on all my best friends I've had over the years, and the
wisdom of youth is sometimes truely amazing! Thanks g00f!
