Peter Lynn Scorpion 16 (SOLD)

Taper123 - 4-5-2012 at 06:08 AM

My Scorpion 16 has not seen the outside of the bag for a while.

I'll take some pics today and get them posted.

30,000 copper clad pennies :piggy:
edit: (Now 25,000 or 250$)
(but do to the high cost of shipping that many pennies, paypal or paper currency would work)

Mainekite - 4-5-2012 at 06:12 AM

Rtf or ko? I may be interested

Taper123 - 4-5-2012 at 06:13 AM

Kite Only

Drewculous - 4-5-2012 at 09:25 AM

I have a shirt that would go well with that kite

Do want pics!

This kite is a monster. Go big or go home, that's what the scorp 16 is for.

Bump for 16 square meters of epic.

treblehook - 5-5-2012 at 05:03 PM

going to try to get down to Cinco on Saturday....bring the 16m with you, if it has not sold by then.....you never know...early b-day present for myself ????:puzzled:

Taper123 - 9-5-2012 at 03:48 PM

Flown in various states, two Nations, and by present and past PKF members.... 27,500 copper pennies... or 275.00 usd. Mainly used in the buggy, but on water occasionally. All zippers work smoothly.

dandre - 10-5-2012 at 04:43 AM

taper wtf happened to your leg!?

Taper123 - 23-5-2012 at 05:01 PM

250.00

Any questions?

No one takes it for this... and I'll just keep it :bouncy:

Taper123 - 6-6-2012 at 06:18 PM

On second thought... It's in great shape, and needs to fly... It can take up space in my garage... or you can make me an offer.

Taper123 - 11-7-2012 at 06:01 PM

Bump!

erratic winds - 11-7-2012 at 06:08 PM

Rules Page:

1.4. Do not bump threads (posting for the sake of moving a thread to the top of the list). Making empty posts devalue the forum.

Taper123 - 11-7-2012 at 06:43 PM

I could do like others and simply edit my last post so it does not say "Bump".

But instead, there are people on here with nothing better to do than point out that
someone selling their personal kite, and wanting it to be in a position to be read again
after a reasonable amount of time... is somehow a technical violation of the rules.

I'll give you the kite "erratic winds" if you can beat me in a mile there and mile back race in a buggy if we should ever meet. Or make it a shoreline mile each way on the water with kiteboards. The kite is yours if you can beat me, or you can buy it... after all, that's what the for sale section is about.

Not a technical violation of the rules, a clear violation of the rules.

Look, our admin is rarely on, so it's up to US to follow the rules. If that means a fellow user must point out violations to other fellow users and catch some flak for it, so be it.

I enjoy the fact that you perceive "Follow the rules" as some sort of offer to duel, while demeaning me for pointing out the rules.

Oh, wait, I don't enjoy that at all, that's totally asinine.

flyjump - 11-7-2012 at 07:46 PM

one of my all time favorite kites. wicked lift, lots of power, it'll put a smile on your face

van - 11-7-2012 at 08:40 PM

There's a report button the upper right corner that you can use to report violations. There is no need to make yourself the forum police. I notice you have been posting some harsh statements toward forum members lately. I have seen a lot of attacks lately between forum members. I like to contribute positively to this forum but lately am afraid to do so. Since I do sell my stuff to pkf members, I am afraid that people might accuse me of advertising so I don't share much of my new projects.

So you give me instruction on how to be forum police without directly offending the user who has violated the rules, and then tell me there is no need to be forum police? Forgive me if I am confused by the statement. I can guess at the intent, but the wording confuses me. I don't often say "don't do this, but here's how to do this".

I do not feel that I have ever been UNFAIRLY harsh.

People get rude, people respond in kind, often. I have zero problem with the insults and comments I earn when I point out the rules.

I wish you would share more, it was quite fun to watch you come into your own as a kiter and builder.

Van takes great care of his personal stuff, and the items he makes are first rate.

Van, we both know there is no cure for some things. But his rants do keep my posting at the top.

Oh yeah... mandatory: Kite for sale. 250 or make offer.

PHREERIDER - 12-7-2012 at 07:44 AM

be it known to all,

cloaked intent with value adding content is best for cycling through the top. providing content of merit, like a recent session and maybe a video , new pics or the bone basic price adjustment.

taper 123 has been caught in bared wire of the rules and looks like WE will keep shining the light on him until the unit sells.

i like this unit, its fast and powerful and offers good timing for aerials. quite versatile and super stable. AND A BARGAIN .and was it $250?

content provided by Phree Advertizing, LTD. a subsidiary of, TOO MUCH TIME ON MY HANDS, a LAUGHTER CORPORATION.

erratic winds - 12-7-2012 at 08:16 AM

See, it takes just over zero effort to create a post that sends it to 'teh TOP' that actually contains more content than "bump", which I would guess was the original intention of the rule.

PHREE advertising, hard to find a better endorsement!

soliver - 12-7-2012 at 10:50 AM

boy howdy, sure do wish I had $250,... but I don't,... and as of now I'm only an FB kind of guy.

Looks purty tho.

bump too.

Taper123 - 12-7-2012 at 06:37 PM

Kite appears to be sold . Kite Karma dictates that I sell it to a reasonable offer for use on a beach myself and some of my friends have used. Unless shipping is outrageous... even threw in shipping costs just to see it used on a great location.
