Any kiteboard racing near you ?

This news about kiteboarding making the Olymics is HOOJ news on our local forum. Squamish has a well established race crew and our forum even has it's own section for them. They are stoked!

Is kiteboard racing available near you ? :puzzled:

OOPS not meant to be a poll

I think I've heard of some informal racing up the coast in Long Beach. Other than that, San Fran has lots of races out here on the west coast.

I guess I am asking if this has taken off all over.

Of course San Fran has been at it for a long time. How about Texas ? OBX ? East Coast ? Other parts of Canada?

I am just curiuos where all we will be drawing talent? ( The Squamish folks are feeling strong ) I think this is cool. Kind of like how snowboarding was, a few racers making the way for a bunch of yahoo's that started it all !

At this rate I may live to see actual snowkite parks as part of the mix in my kitetime! :wee:

Yeah ... me versus everyone. Apparently, I'm the fastest thing on the water. And still the fattest :o

Yes. I asked Adam Koch advise on tacking the raceboard the other day onsite. Follow the kite in the turn and I need to practice, practice, practice.
