Dear kiters
have you heard about people doing 24 hours distance pulled by the wind? I mean, how many kilometers have been cruised by people in 24 hours with kites
and sails either in the sea and on land... If you check at Guinness record, there is an account of 384 km by a men and some 290 by a women several
years ago. But could not find anything newer and not much on landboarding (kitebuggy, mountain board, snowkiting).
Sometimes these solo adventures are not registered internationally, this is why I am writing you from Spain. I am very interested in any piece of
information, details on who, when and how, and perhaps contact details...
I am preparing for 24 hours distance in kitelandboarding this summer... if you are interested I can keep you updated. So far I am adding this info in
a blog in Spanish ... could place summaries here if considered appropriate
Feel free to send me an email to valladares@ccma.csic.es or leave a note here for me to contact or reply...
Anyway, thanks a lot in advance
Cheers... and good winds!

Thanks Carltb
yes, this information is available at popeye website, but when I tried to contact PLummet, or get more information on when, how etc... the email does
not exist anylonger and could not progress beyond the few lines on the account. If you can help in finding more about Plummet or how to contact him,
great!
And if you know of some othe forum, association, club or person to contact in this search for solo 24 h distances with kites or sails, please let me
know!
thanks again

and yes, there are 24 h distance with buggies... as far as i know they are registered by Popeye (http://popeyethewelder.com )
But, is there any other web page, data base, forum etc with records of these or other 24 h attempts?
I am sure that many people have done 24 h distances, but their distance and details are hard to find...
Thanks again
