Hey all - I just received my "new" Kite it is a Flexfoil 9m LEI. I have an O'Brien directional board with strap binding. I just purchased 10m 5 line
set and a 43cm control bar. I still need to get a harness. I plan on starting out very safely. I will be surfing on the Finger Lakes in Upstate NY
(normal winds 10 -25 mph) I weigh 140 lbs, 5'8". Can one of you folks access this list and tell me what, if anything, I need to be aware of as a
beginner. Experience thus far; I have been flying stunt kites for years and am an accomplished water skier and sailor - what else could I possibly
need (kidding of course)
Thanks for any input >>>--->VWhead

vw, you need lessons - really. You have to respect the power of these kites. Most people don't ride directional. I would get a DaKine Seat harness.
Good luck.
10M is really short. Great for learning during a lesson, but not that great for riding.
Go get a beginner kite DVD. Learn it, then take a lesson.
