cheezycheese - 24-5-2012 at 11:07 AM

That's like Superman without the cape.... what gives...?

Coolbreeze - 24-5-2012 at 11:32 AM

We just don't have the space up here to invest all this $$$ and time in a sport that I have to travel hundreds of miles to do. I had to do a lot of soul searching on the drive home from NABX and I came to the conclusion that I have too many other hobbies that make more sense and although I love kiting we just don't get decent winds here to justify it all. If I lived in Europe it would be a different story.

That hurts dude.
Keep... something. Do not sell it all. You may find yourself regretting it later. Keep a kite or two, if you can...

csa_deadon - 24-5-2012 at 02:14 PM

Grant, man this is a shocker! Gonna miss you on and off the beach.
I have enjoyed your sarcasim and rib poking. You're still gonna have to make a trip to Long Beach for gocarts!

vwbrian - 24-5-2012 at 04:13 PM

At least keep the PL Big foot and a few kites. Come to SOBB each year.
At least a fix or two a year.
I hear ya when it comes to money. I haven't been to the beach since sept SOBB and its only 80 miles for me.

Bladerunner - 24-5-2012 at 04:25 PM

I was afraid this was coming. :(
Does this mean you will turn away from snowkiting as well ? :shocked2:

Coolbreeze - 24-5-2012 at 05:18 PM

Nope, keeping the North.

On the skill thing, anyone with any level of buggy skills can appreciate riding in a well made buggy. The security and balance of a buggy that fits you well and keeps you securely seated, inspire confidence and increase skills. In many other sports, getting the highest level of equipment can hamper your progress if you are just learning, but I don't see that being an issue with kite buggies.

There might not be a more complete package of a race buggy in the world. Certainly not for sale in North America.

From what I heard this sale is "Sold".
Might be able to buy a few parts, maybe not.

Does ANYBODY have a picture of Coolbreeze wearing it ? I know he would like one.
