A few months ago, I purchased this kite on Craigslist and it was very crispy when I got it, having only been flown once or twice by the previous
owner. I've flown it 4-5 times since, and have decided that for the gusts that I get in the midwest, parafoil depower isn't my thing. I'll stick to
the LEI kites and get more time out on waters of Lake Michigan.

It'll start pulling in 13mph winds and I never flew it in winds over 20mph, with a few gusts near 25. I would say that 25mph is the limit of "safety",
but I personally wouldn't fly in those winds with any kite that big.

Looks like a great deal on a really nice kite for someone. Never owned a Gin before, but have heard really good things about Gin kites from other
kiters. Noticed your location (Aurora, IL)... I used to live in Aurora in the late 80s and worked in Naperville. Bet that area has really changed
since then. Best of luck on your sale.

Hey KsKite, Yeah, Aurora has changed quite a bit since the 80's. Whereabouts did you work in Naperville. I'm near Waubonsie Valley High School. I've
lived here nearly my entire life, so I've watched everything change from farms to subdivisions. At least there are now open grassy fields for kiting
now.

I don't remember the exact street names, but I worked very near the border between Wheaton and Naperville at Bell Laboratories. That whole area was
just exploding when I moved there in 1983. I remember it being called "the Silicon Valley of the Midwest" at the time, although that was a stretch.
If money wasn't tight right now, I would grab your Gin Eskimo. Someone will get a good deal on this one.

Sorry guys, I've been away from kiting with the whole "real world" hitting me (just graduated from College). So, I was holding this for a close friend

Good deal here guys. I (180lbs) was flying the 8.5m Gin Eskimo I Monday with skis on wet snow. Winds 10-20mph. Some gusts may have been higher. Nice
session in those conditions.
