Flexboardz Demo Ride

crazyherb - 2-6-2012 at 10:07 PM

I was able to demo Jeff's (Big Kid) Flexboardz Haize today (think it was the modified by Chad setup)...

In a nutshell, if you haven't rode one, you have to try....I didn't want to get off....and I think I've had the FASTEST run on any board with the Flexboardz..it HAULS...

Second thing...it looks heavy...but it's deceiving...I found it perfectly "JUMP-ABLE" if that's a word....In fact, when landing jumps, it had no tendency to under-cut on my less-than-perfect landings.

I think I compared the flexboardz to my MBS COMP 95x in a verbal "Corvette vs Honda Civic".

Looking forward to owning one...

I have to agree with you. I land more of my jumps because I am able to steer out of the mistakes I make in judgement. The board is very stable at speed. I can jump just as high as I could with my core 95. It holds a line better for better upwind and more load before it pops while still sliding when I really wan't. It is much easier to slide on sand than on grass for me though. For me it is definatley a great board to learn and advance with. The NABX edition or Chad setup gives it a bigger, smoother feel where I like my original stance that feels quicker and more nimble. I love the board.

glad you got a go on it with breeze, speed grip deluxe!

ikemiester - 3-6-2012 at 06:09 PM

what's doing rotations on it like? I can't imagine a corvette v. civic with something that (at least) looks that much heavier.

bigkid - 3-6-2012 at 07:12 PM

In a few days you cran give crazy a call and ask to borrow is new board. Haha

got to stop using the phone to log in and post.^^^^^

Rotations...

crazyherb - 4-6-2012 at 12:14 AM

Until I can get front/back rolls down without face/back-planting, I'll be happy with it...now...If I would have been thinking, we should have let GABE give it a try this afternoon...he was cranking 720's all over the place with my big old 18M.

Ike!! I'll let ya know when I'm back across the bridge with the Flexboardz....you're definitely welcome to give it a shot!

rotations and airs for me have been the same as with my smaller lighter boards. after a couple hours they became as familiar as any. the only significant difference is the amount of pressure it takes to break it loose . standing on top the unit is not gonna feel loose at all. really have to sit deep and push thru.

i have been back and forth on my GI flight 93(very small light unit) and FlxBz Haize. A noticeable point of use is the the top end speed. i had became SO use to the unlimited wobble free higher speeds that when i go back to conventional boards YOU realize immediately the will not handle it at 20-25mph become unstable and require alot of attention to keep it together. if poping slow airs/rotations the smaller boards are gonna be easier to handle esp. for a lighter rider, but for a taller/heavier rider no real difference.

Awesome!

crazyherb - 4-6-2012 at 01:42 PM

Great to know on the rotations Phree...

And yes... the Haize let me load up a LOT more prior to jumping...in a good way....and felt very "natural" in the air...the Flexboardz it truly deceiving....

ROCK ON!!
Steve

ikemiester - 4-6-2012 at 04:05 PM

I've gotten up to 35 mph on my core 90.... don't know if I want to go much faster.

my gi patrol 106 up to about 40 and that practically sitting down on the front to keep from wobble. and out at NABX easily cruise at 30mph+ on flxbz like its a skate in the park. working toward 20-30knts/ 6m/ and haize. oh yeah and a decent gps

You would think you could get one off Craigs list or something for 30 - 40 bucks, if not I have an extra 3 etrex's you can borrow for the 60mph speed runs. Wouldn't want any controversy when you set the world record.:wee:
Might even have to throw a party:singing:

PHREERIDER - 5-6-2012 at 06:50 AM

once i look, i'll get one ...taking the time to LOOK is my problem. an old etrex is what i want. low tide and ON/SIDE ON breeze coincidence is the issue , the next 60 days is gonna be best for here , may trip to jekyll for better tide set up.

thanks JEFF!

60 mph?!!

crazyherb - 5-6-2012 at 10:56 PM

:o I have to go faster than 60 mph to break the record?!!:o
(resignation in my voice)
:singing:

Go for it Phree!!

PHREERIDER - 6-6-2012 at 06:55 AM

40+mph sprints is kinda the start point with most 20knt sessions, just 30knt session to punch into 50mph is gonna be a gut check fo sho.

No more DEMO for me!!

crazyherb - 7-6-2012 at 08:58 AM

I have a box in the back of my truck that has big FLEXBOARDZ logo on it....YAY!!!

Flexboardz USA - 7-7-2012 at 09:11 PM

Yeah, Jeff, why don't you send that board back I loaned you for the pass around a couple years ago. I'm glad everyone enjoyed it, but it actually belongs to Kip Lotz, the original importer and financier that payed for all of the manufacturing of Flexboardz. We'll have to start publishing all of the manufacturing information and dealer cost if you don't. We have asked more than once. Just send it to the address where you received it from.

WOW, BLACKMAIL. Going to have to think about this one, better check my life insurance.
You have obvious decided to turn down my offer. Looks like you want to bring all this out for the public to get involved. Sure you don't want to talk to me directly?

Flexboardz

Flexboardz USA - 7-7-2012 at 11:52 PM

If you would like to make this public Jeff, we can. Nice ad you put up. Get your facts straight. Feel free to call Kip. You have his number.

erratic winds - 8-7-2012 at 07:48 AM

Don't know if troll or serious.

If this is actually flexboardz, then why aren't you using the flexboardz user ID?

THIS is flexboardz: http://www.powerkiteforum.com/member.php?action=viewpro&...

I have no idea who this user is. I feel it may be a member of flexboardz who told us all tall tales about the status of the product.

Frankly, this looks like it's about to be a PR meltdown, and Flexboardz hasn't had one of those since they made that Kip fella stop tellin us incorrect info regarding arrival in the US.(I think one point he said piracy was involved?)

Whatever the hell happens, it'll be fun to watch. Hell, it's already fun to watch!

(All I know for certain is BKK put a team together and one rider has put out more flexboardz videos in 6 months than flexboardz has put out in 5 years)

This just REEKS of *CLASS*, oh wait, that's definitely not the smell I'm catching a whiff of

I'm sorry....anyone made such a statement at my company, they'd be fired, some information is not to be shared

bigkid - 8-7-2012 at 10:16 PM

****SORRY STEVE FOR THE LACK OF _____ OF KIP LOTZ. *****
Just ignore the kid, to much to go into and nobody wants to hear about him.

Was good to see you at sunset with MY SON, hahahaha should have got a picture of the 2 of us.
Don't hold back on the board my friend, you are doing great.

No worries...

crazyherb - 10-7-2012 at 09:57 PM

No worries Jeff...
Thanks for speaking up Erratic...
I'm finding the Flexboardz to be a first-class product and backed by Big Kid's customer support....I'm just happy as a clam...

ROCK ON!!
Steve

flexboardz - 11-7-2012 at 11:00 AM

to avoid any kind of misunderstanding, here is Flexboardz who's who on PKF:

-Flexboardz USA is the pseudo of the FORMER US importer of the Flexboardz products. He has no more relationship with Flexboardz... except a rest of agressivity. In fact, he shouldn't use the Flexboardz usa pseudo anymore....

-Big Kid is the present US importer. As said above, he has done much more to promote the boards than anybody else. (it explains the former/present importer situation)

-Flexboardz (me) is the "mother company" responsible for the boards development and manufacturing.

I hesitated to answer to avoid further trolling.... but I definitely prefer to avoid "unclear" situation

erratic winds - 11-7-2012 at 12:39 PM

Oh, so the person who made endless promises without fulfillment is no longer part of the organization? EXCELLENT NEWS.

Thank you very much for clarifying, it's an amazing product.

bigkid - 11-7-2012 at 01:39 PM

Thanks Flexboardz.

stetson05 - 11-7-2012 at 04:27 PM

Thank you for clearing that up!

Me Too....Thanks Flexboardz!!!

crazyherb - 13-7-2012 at 04:06 PM

Thanks for the clarification...Flexboardz....and all the effort put in to design and production....and to Jeff for the OUTSTANDING customer support. I'm happy as a clam...BRING ON THE WIND!! I'm gonna set this thing up for some SPEED!! (looking around) Shhh...don't tell the wife....
