One thing you may want to check though: The sponsers of the kite fest, here in Seaside have been real "stick-in-the-muds" about not allowing
"traction" kites at the event. (seems we don't qualify as kiters) They had apparently been told that we might pose a danger. This, despite the fact
that huge delta stunt kites (with their sharp pointy sticks) and gargantuan single line (read uncontrolable) kites were everywhere. Their decision
was based not on any past problems with local powerkiters, but was based on hearsay and proported "insurance" issues. You may want to check that out
before going to Lincoln City
