watch out for the crucifixion.... martinipro - 12-6-2012 at 12:52 PM
Haha Marc... he was crucified already when he tried selling the vapors and the Libredylanj423 - 12-6-2012 at 01:02 PM
crucifixion?
you mean the after sale remorse? i have already gauged what i can sell and what i cannot... i cannot sell the buggy, though i know i could quickly...
same for the silverarrow... not gonna happen...
i still love kites, but i REALLY want an adventure touring bike... i just took a 4,165 mile scooter trip on my yamaha Tmax, and it was great, but what
i really need now is a touring bike... Yamaha super tenere, here i come ... as
soon as i pay off my scooter, lol...thanson2001ok - 12-6-2012 at 03:01 PM
I want the 21m SA.
Help us a little, though... kites are RTF or KO.dylanj423 - 13-6-2012 at 06:11 AM
sorry... kites are kite onlyKamikuza - 13-6-2012 at 05:01 PM
... what does the Spirit look like? And what year the mini Mako?
And what are you riding? elnica - 13-6-2012 at 08:07 PM
u2u on syns. Yamaha super tenere looks sick! I want one too! Got a 150cc chinese scooter right now, lol.
dylanj423 - 13-6-2012 at 08:27 PM
the lightwind is in very good shape, but again, does have my email on it in marker... the mako is a 2010...
im riding (kites) my door and other two makos... just had a great lightwind session on the door today...
im riding (bikes) a yamaha tmax scooter... great scooter, but i guess i pushed it too far on my trip... it started overheating... working with yamaha
on a solution right now...
and yes, the super tenere looks awesome... i can hardly wait to get my grubby hands on one :evil:dylanj423 - 13-6-2012 at 08:28 PM
kami, u2u me your phone # and i will shoot you some pictures...Kamikuza - 13-6-2012 at 08:49 PM
Nice! That's a B-I-G bike though ...
Tmax? Ugh, that's not a bike - those big scooters are arm-chairs on wheels :oHouston AirHead - 14-6-2012 at 08:25 PM
you dont want a bike with 80+mpg? although you have to sacrafice lots of power....dylanj423 - 14-6-2012 at 11:22 PM
40mpg works fine... i want a machine that can haul it on the streets and off road, too... 130mph is the reported top speed... i figured with a 1200cc
engine, its top would be higher... my scooters top speed is 115 and its 500cc's, i only get another 15 mph with more than twice the volume??... the
bike isnt that much bigger...
... and no, i dont want an 80mpg little thing that only goes 50mph... besides, that would get me killed in houston traffic...Kamikuza - 14-6-2012 at 11:43 PM
Gearing comes into the top end, Dylan ... as does drag. It'll probably do 130 quite easy though, unlike the scooter which'll be begging for mercy ...?
The old TL used to accelerate straight up to red line in sixth then sit just on the limiter :o at an indicated 280kph. On the track of course,

Title of this thread caught me and have to say it's happened to me too..
I like to fly (love to snowkite the most) but with the beaches open here in RI and no place close to even try to put a kite up, it's a hell of a lot
easier to take the GSXR (Zeus) out and enjoy the day.
But, why are all these fun hobbies so friggin expensive? :ticking:
Good luck with the sale!dylanj423 - 15-6-2012 at 11:58 AM

I have a 1984 Goldwing GL1200- when I'm not on the buggy, I'm on that.Jaymz - 15-6-2012 at 09:53 PM
Good luck with the sales Dylan, BUT it looks like this thread turned into a bike thread ;-)
Adventure bikes really took off the past few years. The Super Tenere looks like a great do it all bike. A bit big and heavy for offroad, but should be
fine on groomed 2 track. MCN (Motorcycle Consumer News) did an extensive review/comparision on the bike a few months ago. Great bike magazine by the
way. The only rag worth reading. http://www.mcnews.com/mcn/
Bought my first bike in 1976. A new Kawasaki KD100. Been a lifelong addiction/lifestyle since.
Still riding dirt and roadrace @ the track, but gave up street riding years ago. ....until recently.
My buddy rides with a group every Sunday. A very diversified group of riders. Rare Vintage bikes, Ducatis, Harleys, BMWs, etc.
A few weeks ago he got me back on the street again. Realized how much I missed it and now I can't wait until Sunday morning.
Here's video from the past 2 Sunday rides. Rode a Ducati Monster 998S4r and a '76 Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans MK1. My buddies on a yellow '74 Ducati GT750
and the blue '69 Honda CB750.
I'll have a restored '84 Yamaha RZ350 2 stroke out there soon. Just have to get around to registration/insurance.

Oh that was you I still have problems connecting FB 'real' names with the user
names on here :Ddylanj423 - 16-6-2012 at 08:59 AM
now listed on ebay:
Synergy 8m
Ocean rodeo Mako King
Ocean rodeo Mako 150
$1 starting bid, no reserve... lets see what happensdylanj423 - 16-6-2012 at 09:02 AM
after a comparison of my door and my king, i realized i can do without the king, but the door is definitely staying with me...
i was kiting in sub 10mph in the ocean with my speed3 21m and the door... what a duo
with the other gear i had, i figured in order to have the most rounded out quiver, i should prob sell the mako 150, too, and keep the mini, besides,
ill prob not get what i want for it... same for the synergy 19.. i forgot about a couple of quirks with it, so i wont get what i want to for it, so i
guess ill keep it to teach my friends with... se la vie...rickgi - 16-6-2012 at 08:30 PM
I actually went the opposite direction. Have a Honda Valkyrie (6 cylinder cruiser), but gave it up for kiting. Too many people texting while driving
in this densely populated state. Just don't feel safe any more. Pay attention out there when motorcycling, drive as if nobody sees you.

I just got my permit again... after 15 years... :Ange09::Ange09:rocfighter - 17-6-2012 at 04:48 AM
The Valkyrie is the bike of my dreams as well. Every time we see one I gush to Sandy like a kid in a candy store!! I rode Goldwings and Aspincades for
many years. Started with a 1000cc and finished with 1800cc Now I also have a Chinese 150cc scooter!!! I can carry it on the Motorshed!!joedy - 22-7-2012 at 08:42 PM
Dylan: I sent you an U2U
