You know, it was not that many years ago, all you would see or hear about in America or Canada was Peter Lynn or Libre, and if you look on the old
photos that would be all that you would see.
Now when I look on the buggying thread on PKF, I see a whole host of people making their own buggies, and guys making them for others too, and the
ones that are not actually making them are modifying their buggies in some way to make them either better of more unique.....many people now, have
took the plunge, looked around at what materials are at hand and had a bash a building a buggy.....thats brilliant.
I always like coming on PKF forum because of the enthusiasm, the questions asked and the knowledge freely given, shipping costs I know were always a
problem for across the pond, but now you guys really are self sufficient, and this is all within a couple of years, so well done you lot, give
yourselves a pat on the back.
To all the individual buggy builders like WELDNGOD, Flexiblade Screwyfits, rocfighter, Big Earl, BKK, to name a few, and the other guys that cater for
all your needs like Kent at Awindofchange with the Ivanpah, and Van who who should be called "Speedy Gonzales"...18 months ago, he was asking about
his first build....now look, seats, buggies, racks are flying out of his Gaff....now Helliboy50 is starting to produce buggies too, sorry if I have
forgotton anyone....thats says it all now ehh.
This is all music to my ears and now when you roll onto a playa like Ivanpah or your local beach, its not just PLs and Libres there, now there are a
whole host of different designs, colours and configurations, and you know what....they all work, and all of them I guarantee put the biggest smiles on
their owners/builders faces.....
3-4 years ago, there were maybe a few 100 home made buggies around the world....now that figure is in the 1000s
I just wanted to say, well done guys, you have done good.WELDNGOD - 15-6-2012 at 03:03 AM
:bigok: Thanks Carl ! I am proud to be a part of this communityrocfighter - 15-6-2012 at 04:32 AM
WOW Carl what a great message. I am very proud to have been included in you list of people doing there own thing. It means a lot o me and I'm sure all
the others listed. You have been a huge inspiration and wealth of knowledge to us all. I blame you mostly for the pile of buggy parts my wife mentions
now and then in the garage!! As you set the buggy building "bug" into action with your articles and videos. I can't thank you enough for the support
these systems have provided.
And believe me there have been many more influences that have effected my buggy world. Some mentioned here, many not. I'm very glad I stumbled onto
this site so many years ago.
Thanks, Dave.Bladerunner - 15-6-2012 at 06:28 AM

You Sir PTW have been a devine inspiration.:saint:van - 15-6-2012 at 07:44 AM
I remember the days very clear when I was looking all over your site for ideas on how to start building one. Although I have venture off and made a
few of my own unique features, I still have many features that was model after your work. So thank you , Carl, for being part of this community.Cheddarhead - 15-6-2012 at 06:32 PM
Popeye, Van, rocfighter, Kent and others, you guys are truly the inspiration for me to start my own project and keep going.....If it wasn't for you
guys I don't think I would have realized that an "average joe" could build one of his own. Thanks for sharing with the kiting community that it can
be done by anybody if they really want to do it. So a huge thank you for all the contributions you've made to the sport whether you realize it or
not.:bigok:

I think my biggest inspiration was Carl's PTW home brew page. Him putting all those home brews together with all there differant styles and ideas
showed me I did not have to be a PL or Libre. It could be a big damn heavy Rat with a big damn skull on the forks and huge ATV wheels and tires and be
made from scrap metal I had in the yard!! And it worked:shocked2:popeyethewelder - 16-6-2012 at 08:58 AM

That resourse has now moved to facebook, where I have teamed up with a French collector Cris Tyne, together our collection now is over 1000 homebrew
buggies
