Go Pro mounting

cheezycheese - 16-6-2012 at 08:08 AM

I wanna mount my new to me GoPro (thanx Dino) on my helmet. I want to do the side mount but it would interfere with the strap from my goggles. What do you guys do to get around this....?

Mount it in a lower or higher position :bigok: Look a one of the pictures of my helmet... I know you have so many

I dont wear goggles, but wonder if you could put the mount higher up and just use an extra swivel joint from clip to camera. Then you could get the camera lower. Tried it before to get a different angle. One thing though is that it adds an extra weak point for it to snap off in a bail or the extra bolt sections might come loose and your camera will change position from vibration.

Ok Todd, I see from your avatar. Are you using the suction base or one of the adhesive bases...?

The suction base is pretty massive when you see it up close, it's a curved adhesive base. If you are worried about it getting knocked off, you can make a leash to go from the hinge area of the housing to one of these a few inches away.

No not the suction cup just a regular adhesive one.

Hope so... Headed out there in Tue with a new kite and camera... :wee:

Yay! I've really been kind of skunked since getting Scott's Reactors. (What else is new?) I did get to fly them both, though in less wind than each deserved! The 7M and 7.6M NPW's (goddess) will always fly, though! Have fun at Nahant!
