Hello all,
I'm new to this forum and want to start with land boarding with a kite.

I have kite surfed for a few months with a Cabrina CO2 12m kite. But landboarding is new to me and I would like to get some information.

I'm almost 84kg/185pounds,lbs and am at +- 1,80m tall.
I know, a little bit on the heavy side......
I found this package deals:
1: Deal oneDeal one Good price
2: Deal twoDeal two Looks better but also more expansive

What size do I need? I am guessing 4m is good?

Also do you guys have other tips/package deals/ or separate buys

I life in the Netherlands, so the wind is good and there is a beach

Anyways, thank you very much!

Good night now

If you are in the Netherlands, get in touch with Vliegerop - they will have everything you need and will also have people there that will take you out and get you going.

Welcome

Of those 2 choices the second is much better. These kites are Fixed Bridle , a hooj step backward for you ?

Depower kites are actually better for landboarding. Your Cabrina will work for you ? You will just use it in less wind than you do on the water.

If money is a concern avoid buying new gear. Gear drops in value greatly the moment it leaves the store.

I would suggest looking for a used board + a depower kite around 7 - 8 meters to compliment your 12m ?
Look into closed cell foils if you want to ride on land and water. This forum is a bit U.S. focused but I am sure there must be forums with used gear in the Netherlands ?

@Bladerunner Thank you for your advice, I've sold my 12m Cabrinha because of lack of time. Now I want to buy some landboarding gear to have fun on land. This way I can landboard almost everywhere I go, even if there is no beach. Actually I love depower kites, it's more my way to go. I will have a look at your suggestions thank you :)

@nocando Thank you, I will have a look there

F4LLCON,
Forget FB for landboarding unless you like hardknocks, frustration, sitting out while your buddies are having a blast and many other problems. Any depower kite will get you riding quickly but I like Peter Lynn Twinskins for safe and easy riding. If you have prior experience with tubes the arcs will be easy for you and are readily available and cheap.Good luck and have fun!
