He had no business cutting back between the boats at all. His first pass was a safe distance from both boats but his obvious line back was behind the
second boat.macboy - 15-7-2012 at 12:33 PM
But clearly he had the right of way being wind powered...and if he'd been a boat it'd have been his starboard side theother boat was presented with.
AND he was upwind. It's all stacking in his favor.....
It looks almost like he was trying to jump the boat? Sometimes Darwin misses by just a bit but he'll get this guy yet.kitedelight - 15-7-2012 at 03:18 PM
I'm with Macboy, failed jump (especially considering his kite position when we see it)...darn those lulls at the wrong time..
Hope he knows the people in the boat, that's a tough one to explain afterwards if he didn't.indigo_wolf - 15-7-2012 at 03:46 PM
That's kind of stupidity warrants....
Why, it's even kind of danceable... :wow:

Yeah, looks like he was trying to jump it ... jackass.
He should have just let go of his kite
Always wear a helmet..

..and maybe pack up the kite when the sky looks like rain squalls may be coming in. OUCH!
Not sure if we should include in 'idiot ' file..just because no helmet...
Sorry if this is old and some have seen this...? :
