Hey,
The wife and I are planning on heading to the east side of the island again and this time I want to 'try' some big water Kiteboarding.
My questions are:
Does anyone have any experience taking their gear with them?
Is it better to rent some stuff on the island, or just bring it all?
I have to buy all of my stuff yet, so if that factors into your answer, please let me know.
At this point I have very little experience in the water, but will be getting some good time/lessons in before I go.
I am a very safe/cautious flyer but have good skill and control over my kite(s). However, I am worried that I am going to get dragged out to sea in
the ocean.... any thoughts on how much experience I should have before attempting to jump into the ocean?
I would aim to find some locals to hook up with before/while I am there, but the last time I was there, I barely saw anyone.
Thanks for your time!

My in-laws...whom I address as the "Outlaws" go to Grand Cayman at least 3 times a year to go diving. They use dive masters at a business called Ocean
Frontiers. Every time they come home now, they tell me about how this place is offering kite surfing lessons and I should give them a try if I
go....like I'm booking a flight next week and leaving my wife and kids at home...haha I'd like to stay married for now so.....
Anyway, I just thought you might like to have that info on the business lead and give them a call. I know they run a top notch diving company
so....Good Luck and have a great time! If you need some names I can find them out for you.
