Bought used with the understanding lines had been cut to get the kite down from where it should not have been.
Lines cut, yes. *Bridle* lines.
I'm still trying to determine what bridle pieces remain intact.
A bit of googling did not reveal a bridle plan/good lineplan to me. I humbly ask for PKF's assistance. I already shot a message to John@PZ, but
figured more information is always good.
So, if anyone can direct me to a replacement bridle and or a lineplan?Kamikuza - 1-8-2012 at 02:23 AM
Why you no email Ozone?erratic winds - 1-8-2012 at 05:27 AM
Oh, I did. In my experience manufacturers are pretty darn slow to get back to you, no matter how much money you're willing to throw at them.Kamikuza - 1-8-2012 at 06:04 AM
Depends on the manufacturer FSer is awesome - usually same day.
No manuals or line diagrams on the Ozone page?erratic winds - 1-8-2012 at 06:40 AM
Nothing offered via the ozone or ozoneUSA website has the appropriate level of detail. What I'm looking for is most likely on their servers, the
difficult part is finding a place where someone shared it with the web!indigo_wolf - 1-8-2012 at 07:10 AM
FixMyKite is listed as Ozone's repair service in the US. I just called them to get a price on a replacement bridle. Richard, one of the repair guys
was with a customer, but I left my info. Will let you know when they call back.

Indigo- ....I swear you're psychic, I just looked up their info and was about to call them on this break from work.
Might as well not burden them with returning two calls on the same subject, I'll await their reply.awindofchange - 1-8-2012 at 11:33 AM

Kent at AWOC is an excellent resource for Ozone info and parts. He's certainly helped me here!indigo_wolf - 1-8-2012 at 07:10 PM
Glad to hear Kent got you sorted. Things must have picked up at FMK today, as I never got a call back. :sniff:

Yes, he's going to help me get a new bridle, ozone only sells complete set, not parts, oh well.
Maybe I'll make a video of my re-bridling experience.dandre - 17-8-2012 at 03:25 PM
Kent once again quick at the customer service draw.

What Are The Lineset Lengths For This Kite ?
PistolPete - 28-2-2015 at 10:18 PM
So I was going to make a replacement lineset for this kite and tried to figure out from the butchered pieces what the lengths were. If anyone can
tell me the flying line lengths are for a 2010 FYX Frenzy 9m, I’d appreciate it?
I measured the following (by knotting together the remnants):
- Steering lines = 22m @ 500# Spectra (1 Blue, 1 Red)
- Lower Center Line = 16m @ 800# Spectra (1 Gray)
- Upper Center Y Lines = 8m @ 500# Spectra (2 Gray)
The 1 steering lines has a tag that says 25m (the other line end is missing) and the one complete upper center Y line has a tag that says 25m (again,
it measures 8m in length)?
Just want to verify the lines are 22m (Qty2), 16m (Qty1), 8m (Qty2)?
If this is the case, the kite bridle must be set/tuned to have center lines 2m longer than the steering lines with an angled pull formed using the 8m
lengths.
Attached is a picture (click on it to make it bigger) just to be clear which lines I am referring to. I added my guess length numbers (22,16,8) next
to the lines in the picture, so you can see which ones I need.
Flysurfer and Liquid Force are superb. Ozone must be too.
Worst case - ask another owner of the same wing to measure it for you and make a set. After all splicing is well explained on YouTube.PistolPete - 1-3-2015 at 09:49 AM

Sorry, maybe my post was too long winded? The lineset that came with this salvage kite was cut up and incomplete. Boiled down, I want to verify if
FYX lineset (not bridle line) lengths are 22m (Qty2), 16m (Qty1), 8m (Qty2), or something else? Hoping someone may know or can measure. Thanks powerzone - 18-3-2015 at 10:08 PM
